A sweet romance with a touch of drama Note: This review contains NO spoilers I am a sucker for some sweet romance with a little drama. Staci skillfully writes these characters with complex personalities which helped define their roles in this romance. A Little Too Late focuses on Charlie, a single dad, and Hannah, the new nanny. Both are broken from a marriage that ended and an employment that wasn't a good fit, respectively. They each have their own complications and dramas in life, but when Hannah enters Charlie's life, things change for the both of them...for the better professionally and romantically...ha! What started off as an employer/employee relationship turned out to be something much more and beautiful. This is the first book I have read from Staci Hart, since meeting her at Authors in the OC in 2016, I've been looking for the right book to start reading that she has written since. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying her books aren't good since I haven't ready any yet... until now. I was drawn to this romance about a single parent. I loved the synopsis on how someone holding on by a thread trying to raise his children finds someone who turns out to be the right person for him and his children. Anyways, I was completely drawn in to their compelling story. It was sweet and heartwarming. The characters were beautiful, yet complicated. Although their pasts played a role in how they dealt with circumstances in their lives, Charlie and Hannah seemed to have gotten a second chance in love and life. I enjoyed to see these characters' resilience in coming back from their bad pasts. So... If you're a sucker for sweet romances with broken characters that have come around and found love and life, then A Little Too Late is must-read. What's a little complication in falling in love? Right! And, yup, I am a sucker for that...haha! Just as long as it is somewhat realistic... Right?!? Anyways, I also enjoyed that the romance was captivating and sexy, but not raunchy...haha! So, yeah, this was a read well worth the time.

Can’t remember the exact date I found Staci Hart, but what I do remember is that it started with a gift card that I use to get Hardcore complete series and With a Twist and the rest is history... I’m so freakin glad that I won this ARC because now I’m heading to bed with a smile on my face and my heart swooning.

I've heard wonders about this author and I couldn't be happier and excited when the opportunity arose for me to read one of her books. I'm almost insane because my TBR is getting huge by the minute and I'm loving every minute of it and this lady just managed to make my list even bigger. Staci Hart has a writing full of feeling and emotions that will make you laugh one minute and cry the next one. She's freaking amazing and you all should read her work. A Little To Late is her latest release and I'm speechless. This story tells us the stories of Charlie and Hannah. Charlie saw his life crumble the day his wife up and left him raising his kids alone. It's a struggle and he desperately needs help. Hannah had a very bumpy start to her career as a Nanny. After a big problem, she needed to up and leave her latest job and now she needs to find a new one and fast. That need takes her to knock at Charlies doorstep. She needs the jobs and he needs a nanny so they both win but... OMG this books is amazing. It's so beautiful the way they get along and his kids are adorable. The plot is amazing, very well written and left me anxious sometimes. The interation between the characters is beautiful and intense and they are both fighters in their own way. If you're a sucker for beautiful and heartfelt stories this book is the chosen one. You will fall in love with the characters and will cheer for them. Trust me. Oh Staci I'm in love with your writing and I want more and more. Gimme more. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

I feel like I've been sitting here for days staring at my blank computer screen trying to figure out how I wanted to begin this review because I knew that whatever I wrote couldn't possibly give this story the proper amount of justice it so truly deserves. Dare I say it...but this may be Staci Hart's best story to date (although I must admit that I absolutely adore every single one of her previously releases books that I've read) and I could hardly manage to put this one down (those dang college classes and work always getting in the way...oh yeah and of course that pesky little thing called sleep, but who really needs it anyways?! ). A Little Too Late by Staci Hart is the kind of story that every reader craves...You know the kind that consumes you whole body and soul, holding on tight until your heart is left all twisted up and that ultimate book hangover begins to seep in, rendering you helpless for days (maybe even weeks to come ). Not only do we have our sexy leading man, but we've also got our swoon-worthy single father of two, Charlie (if you've already read A Thousand Letters then you know exactly who he is! If you haven't please don't fret because this book can be completely enjoyed as a standalone)! This man made my heart go pitter-patter from start to finish (he may have very well taking my number one book boyfriend spot )...just thinking about him has my stomach in knots at this very moment. Now moving onto our sweet, kind and beautiful leading lady...little Miss Hannah! Let's start off with the fact that she is a young nanny (Au Pair) and a DUTCH baker, who slowly bakes her way right into his broken heart. After a terrible first experience as an Au Pair for a man with wondering hands, she's reluctant to accept the position, but luckily she does and before she knows it she's well on her way to finding her happily ever after with a man who deserves his. In my heart this book was EVERYTHING! Staci Hart has truly outdone herself once again and now I cannot wait to dive into whatever she comes up with next because her books are never the same and they always capture my attention!

I couldn’t possibly express how smitten I am with this book. I’ve read many books by this author—her novels range from down-right hilarious romcom to literal poetry. In A Little Too Late, Staci’s writing is flawless, poetic—positively breathtaking. Timeless. She has a gift for evoking emotions whether they’re of heartbreak or complete happiness. My heart did a little flutter countless times throughout Charlie and Hannah’s story. And the pure sweetness that leapt from these pages had a smile permanently attached to my lips. A Little Too Late is the most enchanting novel about finding love when you least expect it. This is by far my favorite book by Staci.

It was good! If you have been waiting for one of Staci Hart's contemporary romance books- the ones that give you the feels.. then this is it. I feel like it has a little bit of A Thousand Letters feel to it, but it's not those kind of feels... it's not as heartbreaking and it's more angsty. I was really left thinking what the hell is this character going to do!! She had me hating and wishing death on certain characters, while I wanted to fall for and hold tight others. This story was beautiful. It gave me that feeling where you sigh with satisfaction at how it all came together.

First of all, A Little Too Late is most definitely a slow burn book. I say that because I know that a lot of people look for things quickly and everything about this book is a slow burn but it's worth the wait. Falling in love with the nanny is supposed to be taboo, right? Then when did the entire time I was reading this book did I feel like it was absolutely the right thing to do? It's because Staci Hart writes her stories and her characters with so much depth that you constantly feel for them. No, scratch that. You constant feel WITH them. From the moment Hannah and Charlie met, I knew they were destined for each other and I knew it was going to be a difficult road. Charlie has buried himself in work for the past 2 years nonstop. He's coming off of a divorce and raising two young children. However, he has others really do it for him. He wants to be involved but is so far lost he isn't sure. When Hannah walks into the door and shows him what's he's been missing, it's like a light bulb went off. Now he just has to figure out the major war in his head on how he can achieve this happiness he didn't know existed and was starving for. Watching Charlie fall for Hannah and truly become the father he always was but just got a bit lost was absolutely heart melting. Hannah was a tough one for me to figure out but from the moment I was introduced to her, I knew I would like her. At the beginning she is represented as shy and demure and while that is true to an extend, I couldn't wait to see where she would go. In the end, she is a gentle and beautiful soul full of patience, love and passion. She's perfect for Charlie and the kids and I enjoyed watching her grow into their love and be bold with who she is and what she wanted. A Little Too Late is a beautiful semi second chance romance full of love and passion. If you are looking for a slow burn that will capture your heart and force you to fall in love with the characters, then this is the book for you.

This is my favorite Staci Hart book EVER!!! There was something wonderful about Charlie... even the little bit we saw of him in A Thousand Letters. Charlie will make you want to be a better parent. He will make you do a bit of self reflection. Only we have the power to change who we are and how we live our life. I don’t usually highlight passages in a book while I’m reading. I might make a quick note for my review that a certain sentence popped out at me and what it made me feel at that moment or how Staci broke me with Charlie and his children. However, I found myself highlighting nearly half the book! Lol I feel like there are a ton of “ah ha” moments in life... we just have to be open and wise to them. I think this was Charlie’s great awakening: “In the span of a few heartbeats, she’d knocked the rust off me, my gears creaking and groaning to life at the mere sight of her.” I found myself having a complete girl crush on this Dutch speaking cheese-snob, named Hannah!!! Not only did she open up Charlie and his family but she awoke the dormant passions in herself as well. This isn’t just some naughty single dad falls for the nanny book. This is a story about finding yourself. It’s about having the strength to fix yourself when you don’t like what you see in the mirror. It’s about opening yourself up to others and allowing yourself to trust and live again. Most of all though, this is a story about family and about forgiveness. Forgiving others, but mostly, forgiving yourself for not being as perfect as you think you should be. It’s about loving your family and accepting their love for you. Taking them as they are and giving yourself as you are! Another beautiful story from Staci Hart... teaching us all how to live with “Hart” one page at a time. The story line could not have been more interesting. The people were real and incredibly relatable. The children were precious and added a wonderful humor to this somewhat heartbreaking, yet fulfilling novel. I completely loved this story and am jealous of all of you out there that haven’t read it yet... you get to experience A Little Too Late for the first time! Grab a box of tissues and some cheese and wine... believe me you’ll crave the cheese but you’ll need the wine and tissues!!! I received an ARC of this book with the hope that I would leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that... my opinions.

A Little Too Late was a great read! Hannah and Charlie's romance starts as a slow burn... then they have just one taste of each other and the connection was instant. I adore these two characters. Charlie was a mess and living in a shell of a man after Mary left him and his two adorable kids. Hannah shows up on his door step and immediately takes charge of the mess she walks into. Hannah is sweet, kind, and very patient. I love how she has that "mother hen" persona. Charlie finally for the first time feels like he is missing out in life. Hannah breathes it back to him and now he is willing to fight for more. Mary is not my favorite person. She just left a beautiful family for her own selfish reasons. You know there is going to be drama when she makes an appearance or two. Hannah has a past that she wants to run away from. But it seems like every corner she turns, it is staring right back at her. A Little Too Late sizzles with sexy and burns you with emotions. This was great weekend read to add to my collection of favorites!

Staci Hart does it again! She's pulled me completely into a story with characters I love. It feels like I've been waiting on Charlie's book for a VERY long time, and I was not disappointed. I loved everything about this book. Charlie's struggle with being a single parent and feelings for Hannah. And, I adored Hannah. She's a breath of fresh air. She has her own issues with feeling like she doesn't fit in, and struggling with what she wants to do with her life. There were moments I laughed, cried, and wanted to hug these characters. I enjoyed every bit of this ride, and I wish I could go back and read it again for the first time.

So for those of you that will scratch your heads trying to remember, Elliot was Mary's sister and the female lead in A Thousand Words. If you haven't read it, you absolutely should. I can't even tell you how much other than to say Staci Hart will destroy your heart in the best of ways. Those that have read it, know exactly what I mean. It took me a few minutes and a glimpse at my review of Thousand to remember but when the lightbulb light, I was good to go. A Little Too Late is everything you expect from Staci Hart. It is emotional, sweet, and has you begging for more while hoping for less hurt. Be ready for a case of the feels... Innocent beauty, harsh reminders, and reality are not the best mx. However, berries, lemon, and cheese appears to be a big seller. With my dreams of visiting this kind of bakery, i can only hope its o. the same block as Wasted Words. I cannot tell you enough how much I loved this book, the outcome, and the high I had once I finished it. It's worth every penny even if you think it's...a Little Too Late. sigh, just sigh.

“She had a certain rightness about her–in the way she’d stepped in and found her place, like the clicking together of puzzle pieces that set my home in order after a week of upheaval.” “But in the end, I was always a little too late.” “It was so quiet, so simple, two little words that said a dozen different things but solved nothing other than a brief moment of companionship, the feeling of being heard and understood. And that would have to be enough.” “You do belong. You belong with me, and I belong to you. Home isn’t home without you.” There is something incredibly magical and special about a Staci Hart novel. From the moment you get your hands on one of her books, you know you are in for the ride of your life. You know that she is going to take your heart to places it’s never been before. With a brilliant and lyrical writing style and unforgettable characters, Staci Hart’s latest novel is sure to consume your every thought and leave you utterly breathless. A Little Too Late is brilliantly written and completely spellbinding. Hannah and Charlie’s story consumed me from the very first page and I couldn’t put it down. Their attraction was just so sweet and so innocent. Both had been burned in the past and they were afraid to take the leap. The burn between them was intense and I enjoyed seeing them try to navigate their way through all the things. Their romance was just so sweet, so effortless, so right. Charlie and Hannah are impossible to not fall in love with. Hannah is full of life and brings culture and meaning into Charlie’s home. She is tough, yet incredibly sweet and caring. Honestly, she is just what Charlie and his family needed. And poor Charlie….This man!! His life was turned upside down and he was trying to do his best. He worked so hard, that he forgot what was truly important. And he was absolutely clueless when it came to his family. He was totally lost until Hannah came along. A Little Too Late was beyond my wildest expectations. This story took me on such an incredible journey, with many ups and downs along the way. This story is romantic, easy and just an honest to goodness love story. There are so many passages that I’ve highlighted; the writing is just that brilliant. I enjoyed every minute of this story, from beginning to end and look forward to seeing what Staci Hart has in store for us in the future.

The best book of Staci Hart so far First, the book cover is beyond gorgeous. I super loved it. A Little Too Late is so far the best book of Staci Hart. I loved both Charlie and Hannah. This story is so beautiful. It is heart-warming. Hannah will warms your heart like a melted butter. She is so sweet and lovable. She has a hand that touches love and devotion. This book is so emotional too. It is also a little suspense. You might need a box of Kleenex, so be ready. It is also funny. I loved to read books that will makes me laugh, fall in-love and go crazy. A little too late will give you that feeling. This book is beyond sweet. Second chance of love is even worth fighting for and better when not only your heart wants the nanny but your kids as well. I super loved this book. Great job Staci, this book is my best and favorite of yours.
