About the Author

Linda Seed, a former journalist, lives in Cambria, California, with her husband, art writer John Seed, and their children. Linda’s romances, including the Main Street Merchants series and the Delaneys of Cambria series, are set on California’s Central Coast. Linda began writing novels early in life, authoring her first—a Breakfast Club–style saga of teenage angst—when she was seventeen. She came to the romance genre considerably later, deciding well into her forties that the world probably already had enough angst and needed stories of love and hope. Her debut novel, Moonstone Beach, was selected as a Barnes & Noble top pick. Linda is a former journalist with more than fifteen years experience at newspapers including the San Diego Union-Tribune, the Ventura County Star, and other publications.

If you've read the Mainstreet Merchants series set in small town Cambia, CA then you'll enjoy this series as a follow up. If you haven't, I recommend you read them first because the background really makes a difference. Now go, read! Enjoy!

Linda Seed wrote a great romance of Colin, a misfit lawyer, and Julia, a landscape designer. It is a story of dysfunctional families and complicated relationships. It is a detailed story of rich characters and love not to be denied. This is not a cliffhanger and is an interesting story about the comp, exity of love, loyalty, and trust. I recommend this sxtory.

Colin's family is grieving the loss of his Uncle Redmond when they are made aware that Redmond had an heir, a son named Drew, that nobody knew about and he's left his estate to him. Colin sets out to find him and make him aware of his very substantial inheritance. In his quest to do that, he comes across Julia who is Drew's sister. There's an instant chemistry between Julia and Colin, they have more in common than they realize. There is so much to keep them apart and together they work through a lot of baggage to be a couple. Several laugh out loud moments, so many secrets and family dynamics but what a wonderful read! I couldn't put it down and had to keep reading to see if they would indeed live happily ever after. I voluntarily read an ARC for an honest review.

though I was a little put out by Julie's resistance to Colin and it' longevity.

A start for a new Trilogy, this wasn't bad... A lot of overthinking and manufactured problems made it a bit slow at times

I don’t think the author knows the definition of “scorn” even though she uses the word excessively.
