Lily is losing a battle with both the demons and her temporary husband. A King of Hell continues to elude her demon glass and as for Kelan McAllister, he seems set to invade the rest of her. Which wouldn't necessarily be a problem, except she's banished his sole demonic source and it would appear she's broken his household.
She's always likened Kelan to an avenging angel, and now she has to deal with all that wrath as well as his intoxicating, dark beauty.
A demon in the hand is worth two in hell
Plans are being hatched in the alleys of London's dank and dismal underbelly. Lesser demons are two-a-penny and stirring mischief and mayhem on an international scale. Lily wants to banish on sight and her husband, naturally, is quite prepared to let the demons run amok and show their hand. But by the time they catch whiff of the master plan, it may already be too late to stop the approaching storm.

First, let me say I LOVE the cover! So much better than the last two. (I guess I'm a sucker for tall dark and handsome). Book three deals with the diverging paths of Lily and Grey. I admit that I am happy with the outcome as I lost my enchantment with Grey in Book 2 (when he made a play for Lily's best friend and then had the opportunity to marry Lily but declined). Grey is enamored with the lovely Georgina Bonnington who appears to have ulterior motives (yet to be divulged). Lily desires Kelan’s attention. Book three does not disappoint. It has a great storyline with engaging characters, adventure, and romance. Definitely steamier than the last two novels but this neither detracts nor adds. The book is good enough that it could hold its own without the scenes. I can’t wait until book 4 comes out. Kelan made a bargain with a lesser demon in book 2. Will it affect his growing love for Lily? Will Grey be double crossed by Georgina? Will the demons be banished once and for all? I will be first in line to find out!!
I receive this book as an ARC book, for an honest review. First thank you Claire for letting me read this series for you, it's a great honor to do this for you. Alright so now onto the review. In the first two books, you get to know the characters and a little about the story is about, which is Lily and Greyston, are two adults in 19th century Europe, where high society means everything, and there is a standard for everything. Such as for the women, marrying the right man, and marrying right into society. Well this was definitely the hope for Lily, until she met Greyston, then her world turned upside down, filled with demons, dirigibles, and demon hunters. After meeting Kelan, Greyston and Lily find out there is something special about their blood. In this book, the story continues however, Lily is in an unexpected marriage, one without love, touch, just a matter of convenience. Or so Lily thought! Well during this book, the typical hunt and clues for finding demons are at play, however other matters are at play as well. The matter of the heart. Greyston, has someone in his life, and now Lily is conflicted over her feeling for both Greyston, and Kelan. I loved this book, because though things are taking a turn in a direction I never foreseen, and at first I was like "NO" the more I read this book, the more I got comfortable with this. However, I am still seeking something between Greyston and Lily, call me crazy on that. Plus the lady in question that Greyston is head over heels for, something about her leaves me a little suspicious on her, not sure if it's because I wanted him and Lily to be together, or is there something more in store for her in later books???? Especially since a demon, is hiding and hasn't been seen as of yet. Hmmmmmmm interesting. I cannot wait until the next book, this book series just leave me dying for more.
