This is book one of Jennifer Faye’s new series, Whistle Stop. I had read book 2 and liked it enough to invest my time reading book 1. I was not disappointed. This story centers around Cord Lawson, a cowboy about to have his ranch foreclosed, and Alexis Greer, from NYC , a developer wanting to buy the one part of the ranch he is not willing to sell. The ranch is his life and the only place he feels he belongs and because of personal issues,s he has been living an isolated life. They like each other but not only are they both on opposite side of the future of the ranch, each also has been hurt by love, have insecurities they will need to overcome, and seem to be living a life for the happiness of others and not their own. Will they succeed and overcome the obstacles? Take a trip to Whistle Stop and find out. It will be worthwhile stop.

A Moment to Love is my first book to read by Author Jennifer Faye and (WOW!), I really enjoyed reading this book. I love the small town setting and how each character has their own unique personality. Of course, the romance even with its twists and turns is fantastic. I highly recommend reading A Moment to Love and it's Book One in A Whistle Stop Romance series. A fantastic book by Author Jennifer Faye! I received a complimentary copy from the author in exchange for my honest review. This review is one hundred percent my own opinion.

I was given this book in exchange for an honest review. This was a fabulous book, I quickly fell in love with Cord and Alexis. This book is a very easy read that did not take me too long to read and I was also able to picture everything that happened. I was able to relate to Cord and Alexis a lot, which I enjoyed. I also enjoyed the small town settings, I have always been a fan of romance novels set in small towns. While I am a fan of sex in romance novels, sometimes there is just to much, this is perfect because you actually see a romance happen not just two people having sex all the time. I will for sure be reading to next in the series.

I really enjoyed this book! Jennifer Faye did a wonderful job of creating Whistle Stop, New Mexico into a town you want to visit and settle into yourself. I can't wait to delve in even further with the next book :) Cord Lawson is a rancher living a very solitary life. He feels like the town doesn't like him because of past experiences with them. He's now on the verge of having his ranch foreclosed on by the bank unless he can come up with the money to pay the balloon payment on the loan. He's trying to sell part of his land, but so far has had no interest. Alexis Greer is a land developer from New York City. She comes to town because she saw the listing for Cord's land and is very interested, but there was a mistake in the listing and and the land that she's wanting, is the part that he has no intention of selling because of family history. Cord and Lexi are drawn to each other. They each want the other to bend into doing things the way they want them with the deal, but can't fight the attraction they are feeling for each other all the while. Will they be able to find a solution that lets them both get they want? And when all is said and done, will they have a future together?

Oh my goodness. Have you ever gotten a book you can't but down once you start reading it. I started this book last night and couldn't but it down, which was 2 in the morning. It was wonderful to read a book where I could picture everything that was being described due to growing up in New Mexico and can picture the little towns that have had it hard due to mines and business closing down. It was a wonderful love story. It started off with Alexis coming from NY to buy what she thought was a Ghost Town to set up a resort for her father's company. Then there is Cord who has to sell 200 acres of his ranch to keep from losing the whole thing. She is worried about her dad an the company going under and this deal needing to go through and Cord finding out that the person putting the land on line for sale made a big mistake. He doesn't want her around trying to take his family heritage, she is desperate. She is determined and so is he. They both of secrets and they end up falling in love. She wants to help the town and he wants he to buy the land and not the ghost town. It is a wonderful story. I can't wait to read the next in the series to find out what happens with the town

Whistle Stop, New Mexico is having a hard time. The young people are moving away to find jobs and the town is falling in disrepair. Alexis Greer plans to change that. Her father's land development company wants to buy an abandoned ghost ranch and turn it into an exclusive resort for the well-to-do. Her problem is that Cord Lawson doesn't want to sell, He promised his grandfather that he would protect his heritage. What happens when these two fall for each other? Alexis is determined to save her father's business. After all he has raised and loved her after her mother walked out. Alexis is a force to be reckoned with. I love a strong, feisty woman. She's smart and determined, but there is something about Cord that draws her to him. Cord is a loner. His ex-wife turned the town against him with her made-up stories. I sympathized with him. He trusted and had his love thrown back at him. He struggles to hide that he's dyslexic. It makes him feel weak. I wanted these two to work together and find each other, but they are so stubborn. They won't trust each other. I wasn't sure that they could resolve their issues and make a life together. I liked Whistle Stop. It's a small town where there are no secrets. I enjoyed the delightful and nosey residents. Jennifer Faye is a master of creating characters that pull you into their lives. A Moment To Love is a heartwarming and touching. I love the romance, the beautiful location and the characters. I plan to continue reading this series.

I love the book - although I did have some minor aggravation by how impeded Alexis was by her emotions concerning her father. Both Cord and Alexis are wonderful characters. The promise of future stories concerning Whistle Stop is set up throughout the book. I enjoy how Alexis tackles problems with sensible, realistic solutions. Jennifer Faye has created a wonderful start to a new series of books. I look forward to the coming books.

I received this book from the author in exchange for a honest review. I really like Whistle Stop. I live in a small town and they are great. I love the fact that Alexis is so strong willed and can stand on her own but also that is can be vulnerable as well. Cord is a great guy who has been burned bad but in the end realizes that the ones you love are the most important. This is a great story about to people who fit together. I really like the fact that it really started with a Choconut Candy Bar and that it was carried through the book. This is a romance that you are sure to love. I definitly recommend this book and I am excited to read more of this series.

I received a copy in exchange for an honest review I was in the mood for a good contemporary romance, so I decided to read this book. While I had some issues, overall it was a fun and enjoyable book. I had some issues with the main conflict, as it seemed mostly for the sake of conflict. There was a story behind it, but I felt that if the characters just talked about it more, they could find a way out of this. And then in the end it got solved so fast it all seemed pointless, like they lost nothing at all and they fought the whole book for nothing. Although on the other hand I did love the ending and was happy with how things turned out. The characters are likeable and while the story mostly focusses on the two main characters, I still got the feeling there was some story behind the other characters we met as well, we just don't get to hear their story yet. The story follows Alexis, a business women who comes to whistle stop to do finalize a business deal, but she gets so much more. I thought it was a bit weird how she could take a few weeks off her work to fly out to whistle town herself. She is a nice character and she is used to working hard and doing what is expected of her, her father got a nasty heart attack a while ago and it's obvious she cares and worries a lot about him. I would've liked to see more interactions between them, but he was mostly absent from the actual story and they mostly had some phone contact about the business only. Then there is Cord, a cowboy who risks losing the only home and way of life he had ever known. I thought he was a bit too stubborn and set in his ways at times, and refused to really listen or talk with Alexi, but he was a nice guy. He really shows his gently side with Alexi. Alexi and Cord where so good for each other. Alexi isn't used to taking time for herself and Cord shows her that, he also helps her overcomes an old fear. I had some mixed feelings about the romance. On the one hand I liked these two together, but I am not a fan of the enemies to lovers trope and while they often said they could separate business and pleasure, it was obvious that it doesn't work that way. Then there's the issue that both of them have a past and they clearly let that colour their present. I understand that those events made them both a bit weary to love again, at times they didn't seem to understand that they where different person now and the one they where falling in love with isn't their ex. Then there where some miscommunication issues and some instances where I felt like they just needed to talk a bit more. Their romance felt a bit rocky to me and I loved some scenes and I didn't like others. I was happy with how everything turned out in the end though. The setting made up for a lot of things I didn't like, as I just loved the little town of Whistle Stop. I like small town settings and just like the Alexi I fell in love with the town and I am really excited to see more of it and if they can rebuild this town to it's former glory. There is a lot of gossip and word travels fast, but I liked most of the characters and they just seemed genuinely interested in everything and they cared about their town. Then there is the setting in New Mexico and while I often prefer nature settings in the sense of forest, this book really convinced me of the beauty in this place as well. To conclude: I enjoyed this book and I loved the setting of Whistle stop. I had an issue with the conflict which was solved a bit too easily in the end, but I did like how the ending wrapped things up neatly. I liked the characters and though they were good for each other, but I had some mixed feelings about their romance. I am not a fan of the enemies to lover trope and it felt a bit off to me, but there where some really nice scenes between them as well. While was a bit on the fence about this book at times, I did enjoy it and am looking forward to future books in this series!

Reviewed for Read Your Writes Book Reviews by Julie Jennifer Faye continues to write stories that draw readers in. She has yet again written a book that I’m recommending to everyone who will listen to me. Whistle Stop, New Mexico is a quaint, almost dried-up little town. Alexis Greer, a powerful business woman from New York, arrives and brings a much needed spark back to this little town's life. Cord Lawson is a stubborn, strong-willed cowboy who owns most of the town. He's about to lose his home and ranch and the family Ghost Town, Haggerty, unless he sells to Alexis who's trying to build a resort for the rich and famous. The two inevitably risk everything by following their hearts. **Received an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest unbiased review.**

Another winning book by the wonderful author Jennifer Faye. Cord and Lexi both believe strongly in their love of family and will do anything for them. They are both determined people with their own agendas. When they meet because of a business deal, their relationship starts off on the wrong foot. They are both strong willed and are determined to get what they want. This is a fantastic story of how people can put aside their differences and see the other person for who they really are. I highly recommend this book and would give it more than five stars if I could.
