Terry Patten has done a truly remarkable job of preparing a nutrient-rich, balanced diet for heart, mind, and spirit. The wisdom of combining inner development with outer action to build a positive future for all is not a new concept, and other, very worthy books have been written on the subject. Of those I have read, this one is the most helplful, satisfying, and complete, managing to be be at once fresh, realistic and truly hopeful. Terry shows us the practical details of how each of us can respond to the call of our time. What is equally important, by offering hope that is grounded in reality, he inspires to courageous action. This book, while dense in content, is written in clear language that makes it highly accessible to any thoughtful, interested reader. I hope there will be many of those, because all of us who are able to hear and understand need to take Terry's message into our hearts and commit to practice what we know to be essential first steps on behalf of our shared world. Because it is so rich in content, his book would be a wonderful choice for a study group. I can't recommend it highly enough.
