About the Author

Having spent his youth in the Midwest, Rod currently resides in South Carolina. On his journey to a business degree, Rod began to take writing more seriously while attending South Dakota State University where he started writing “Keller’s Den,” his fist published novel. The intriguing story line and subplots in “Keller’s Den” demonstrate that he has no shortage of creativity. The same holds true for “A Passage to Home,” an incredible story about tragedy, triumph and miracles. Rod's third book, "Body Parts," is an engrossing story that provides an eerie twist into the world of underground organ transplants.

Interesting trivia: There is a host of notable author’s in Rod’s ancestry which include Louisa May Alcott, Oliver Wendell Holmes, Geoffrey Chaucer, O Henry, Stephen Crane, Laura Ingalls Wilder, William Faulkner and Truman Capote.

Also, Rod’s 9th Great Grandfather, John Alden, was a leader on the Mayflower along with Captain Miles Standish, 30 crew members and 102 passengers. Alden was said to have been one of the first to set foot on Plymouth Rock and was influential in the creation of Thanksgiving along with the Wampanoag Indians.
