Willie and Arnold live on a beautiful white cloud in the sky, and they can’t wait to become the best water dropletsthey can be. At Storm School, the friends learn everything water droplets need to know: how to sing on windowpanes, dance on umbrellas, make hail . . . and, of course, create rainbows. More than anything else, they dream of becoming real raindrops. But they know that if they want to be the best raindrops they can be, they have to work as a team. With imaginative illustrations and lovable characters, A Perfect Puddle offers not only a fun tale of friendship but also an engaging exploration of the water cycle. Willie and Arnold must think up creative solutions and work together during their journey from the clouds to the ground and back again. It’s worth all their hard work in the end, though, because when the clouds turn gray, Willie and Arnold come down to play . . . creating just the perfect puddle!

About the Author

Barbara Perryis currently the Director of Annual Workforce Giving at Valley of the Sun United Way in Phoenix, Arizona. Though she and her husband of more than forty years presently live in Phoenix, a move to the Chicagoland area is in the near future. They have adult children and four grandchildren. Because Barb loves to write, she's accepted the challenge of putting her "make-believe" stories into book form. "There is such power in words, both spoken and written," she states. "Since the beginning of time, the love of storytelling has traveled from parent to child and back again. I wanted to be a part of that." Barb claims her daring to imagine and telling of bedtime stories come from her dad, but her creativity and use of words come from her mom.

Autumn Brookis an art student from Texas who lives with two rambunctious cats named Cas and Polly. Her favorite activities are drawing and stargazing. Autumn also loves the sounds and smells of the rain, and she refuses to use an umbrella.
