Overview

Ever since the Fall of Adam and Eve humanity has been on a journey. Much of this journey is a search for significance. To live a life of significance, we must begin with the understanding that not only does life matter. We matter. The ultimate significance of life is found when we understand that we matter to God. We matter to God not because of anything we have done, but simply because we exist. Human beings are the crown jewel in all God's creation, and it grieves Him to see His children living below the blessing we deserve. We're all on a pilgrim's path in search of truth, and that truth is Jesus Christ. Scripture invites us into more than a relationship with Jesus. We are invited into a completely new identity - the very life of Christ. St Paul describes this life as being "IN Christ". "Therefore, if any one is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has passed away, behold, the new has come." In "A Pilgrim's Path", Pastor Brad Riley takes you on a journey through the pages of the gospels as he invites you to read, meditate, and journal on the life "IN" Christ that scripture calls you to. Inside you will find a 31 day devotional pathway that leads you to discover the life you were meant to live...life IN Christ.

About the Author

Brad Riley is an ordained minister in the Church of the Nazarene, with a Catholic background in his youth. Brad's heritage has given him an appreciation for the historic faith of the one, true, catholic, and apostolic Church. As a minister he loves all branches of Christianity. Brad believes everyone is on a journey to know truth, and Jesus Christ is that Truth. A good friend has coined a new phrase for him... "Orthocathorene"; part Orthodox, part Catholic, and part Nazarene. Brad takes that as a high compliment.

Brad's work in the community often opens up opportunities to minister in ecumenical settings where he meets with families from various or no theological backgrounds. What really matters to those families is not his denomination or creed, but that he shares the love of Jesus with them in some of their most difficult times.

Brad and his wife Rhonda have been married for 30 years and have two children. They reside in Wichita, Kansas, where he currently serves as Associate and Teaching Pastor of the First Church of the Nazarene. Brad is also the founder of The Merciful Servants of Christ, a discipleship order for spiritual formation, and The Ecumenical Christian Prayer Group. He also travels to speak in churches and organizations inspiring them to grow deeper as intentional disciples of Christ.
