About the Author

Shawn Chesser, a practicing father, has been a zombie fanatic for decades. He likes his creatures shambling, trudging and moaning. As for fast, agile, screaming specimens... not so much. He lives in Portland, Oregon, with his wife, two kids and three fish.

Less "running and gunning" in this volume but still an overall good read!

I didn't like the main character. He was too supermanish.

I love the way the author isn't afraid to handle major characters. It's a nice change up form the Mark Tufo style (love his books, just nice change up). This on in particular was a tough one to finish (in a very good way) as we see the main characters struggle through some of their most perilous events yet. Well done, Shawn...well done.

One of my new all time favorites!! The imagination this author has ...wow! Page turning action for a fast can't put down read! Note, you need to start with the 1st in this series. I actually had nightmares! Not of the zombies but of the survivors who were not "the good guys'... and that list was long! This book follows so many plots, groups & individuals yet they merge into the big picture flawlessly. I WISH THIS WOULD BECOME A TV SERIES or MOVIE! (that's how much I enjoyed & love each book in this series) KUDOS TO SHAWN CHESSER!

I enjoyed the last three of this series and it just keeps getting better! The story of the Grayson family and their fight to survive in the ever-changing world after the zombie-apocalypse. Keeps you on the edge of your seat with non-stop action and it feels so realistic.
