Trusting God with the promises we make. A wonderful historical story that takes place in Kansas in the late 1800 and early 1900s. The author does a terrific job in sharing the life of Emily Wallace and Drew Harris. Drew had made a promise to Emily's dying father and does his best to fulfill it. The Christian faith and the desire to do God's will are woven into the story so well. I thoroughly enjoyed this well written novel and look forward to reading more by Norma Downing.

The writer tells a wonderful story about love, sacrifice, and doing the Lord's will. A Promise Made is well written and captivating romance with a tad of suspense mixed in. I really enjoyed reading this book and didn't want to stop reading until I had reached the end!
