A Rose Remembered is the second book in the series The Secret of the Rose. It gives a fascinating picture of Germany in the 1960’s just prior to and then after the Berlin Wall was put up. It’s a time of spies, secrets and diminished hope in the regions of Germany controlled by Moscow. It’s also a story of faith in God in the midst of harsh circumstances, and a story of determination and commitment that drive people to put their lives on the line time and time again. I recommend this book to readers who enjoy historical fiction of this time and place.

I am in sixth grade, and I read this book a month ago. It has the right mixture of romance, war, and it even has spiritual messages. I have read all of the books in this series and recommend them to everyone who is old enough, but I don't mean in the usual sense.

I really loved this book it gave great insight into the plight of the Jews. A hang on every word type of book. Your waiting to see if she finds her father or if the old boy friend captures her. Couldn't put it down. It has suspense, love, war. All the great aspects for a great book.
