5 stars plus to Cora Seton's Seals of Chance Creek Series!! It's my first series by this author and I love it. Kai and Addison' story was very good. All the books in the series can be stand alones but I really like going from one to the other in order. Great job. Please keep writing.

Ripped right through it in two days! So excited to find out all that happened and get to the HEA! A wonderful romance brews between Navy Seal Kai [sustainable project cook] and sweet, unassuming, reliable Addison. It is Kai’s turn to get married and he has a type. However, that type has always brought him trouble and heartache. Even his mother knows he is not good at picking women. Well, maybe he ought to just let Boone assign him a wife, but that’s not really what a man dreams about is it? He wants a connection that is real and unforced. Addison feels underappreciated and largely ignored by her mother who continues to mentor her supermodel younger sister. After all, she dropped out of being a little beauty queen when he young sister became the true rising star. Addison has also become dissatisfied with her actuarial position, inexpensive apartment in New Jersey, and her little life. Wouldn’t it be nice to live in a Penthouse in New York like her sister. Addison could only visit there…or maybe not! Change! That is a tough thing for anyone. Her sister notices a self-help book fall out of her bag about the Freedom of Yes and challenges her to say “Yes” to everything for a month and win free use of her penthouse for a year. Addison takes the bait! After a makeover and sister Felicity’s help, she created a video that portrays her antithesis and it got Kai’s attention. Next thing she knows she is in Montana. While she always paid extra attention to Kai during the reality TV show he was in (he was hot and interesting), she never thought she’d meet him. Addison is on an exciting adventure and discovering who she really wants to be. I had such fun following her and Kai while they discovered how they were lucky circumstances had brought them together for an HEA even if not perfectly orchestrated and bumps along the way. And maybe one lesson learned was to be open to change, but you don’t really have to change who you are, if you even can. Maybe Addison’s deceit about who she was (depicted in the video) going into this relationship (not fake? Hmm?) could be worked through and Kai could really see her for the wonderful, beautiful person she was and not what she (or her sister) thought she ought to come off as being. Excellent series, but can be read as a stand alone book also, each being another couple's story.

ARC for honest review with no compensation A Seal’s Purpose is book 5 of the Seals of Chance Creek series by Cora Seton and glad to be back and see how the gang is doing with the sustainable living and finding their HEA in 40 days! ! Kai Green is a former Navy Seal and the Chef for the ranch. While he has watched four of the ten men find their HEA he was hoping to not draw the short straw…uh oh guess what...he did draw the short straw and now has to marry within 40 days and plan for a family or they will all lose everything…when he goes to the airport to pick up the woman chosen as his future wife he was not prepared with the bolt of lightning that struck him or the fact she is just like all the other women he has chosen in his life…or so he thinks! Addison Reynold’s has always wanted more in her life but doesn’t know how to let go and to be more like her sister, beautiful, smart, penthouse in NY and money. Her sister decides to show Addison and all she has to do is say “Yes” for the next month and she can have it all. All she has to do is say “Yes” on the show to being Kai’s wife and at the end of 40 days she can just leave thinking the show is not “real life”. Little does she know that if she leaves the people at the ranch could lose everything they have worked for so far. Can Kai and Addison show their vulnerability to each other and build a life together and their HEA or will it be a “straw” that loses it all for both???

Kai and Addison want a different future, but both have differing ideas what that future is. Kai is on course with the sustainable life, from a home, to food, to resources, he's got the right idea, he just needs that perfect someone to help him see it through. Kai's problem is, he's got a track record of picking flakes that bail when the boredom threshold hits, he can't afford to make another bad choice this time. Addison has lived in the shadow of her supermodel baby sister for so long, she can't remember a time standing in the sun. But her sister, and fate, in the guise of a self help book put her on a collision course with her destiny, she just has to realize this is the course she's suppose to take, it's the one that will fulfill all her dreams. Another great installment in the series, love that they can be read in any order. Kai and Addison 's story is one of learning to trust others, as well as yourself. A great addition to the over all series story.

Whos side will you cheer on? SEALs or the Women of Chance Creek? Each book in this series has an overall carry over plot but each book is dedicated to the power "couple". Whats even better is even if your reading another of Cora's Chance Creek series then some of the towns most notable folks are in each, so its less time wated getting into same character bios but if you randomly start any of Chance Creek's books you will not be lost.

Kai and Addison worked so well together in every way once they got out of their past memories and worries. I think this story was the best for promoting the series theme of sustainable living. I would buy Kai's book and watch his videos to learn how to eat better with the seasonal produce and local offerings if they were available. I am really curious for what the remaining bachelors will offer.
