About the Author

I was born in 1944 in Oakland California and placed for adoption. I was raised in San Bruno on the San Francisco peninsula. I always felt like I didn't belong. In my junior year of high school I was asked, by the school, to leave and not come back. I joined the Marine Corps in '62 and served 4 years. I got my first Harley about 1969. I burned through wives, kids, and life until Sept of 1988 when I cleaned up for the last time. I went back to school to get my high school diploma. I liked it and stayed on until I achieved an Masters Degree in English. I graduated in 2000 and went to work at a Residential Drug Treatment Center, it felt like home. I have continued my education in that direction ever since.
