Christmas, Christian Romance¿
Zach Kahler determined it was time to leave New York and return home to Texas. He plans to take over the newspaper in his hometown. He chases down a boy that picks his pocket. He discovers there are two children, and they are orphans. Soon he finds himself adopting them and taking them to Texas.
Back home, he finds Chloe, a girl he went to school with. All her life she was treated like an outcast. She has finally found a way to make a living and a place to stay. Chloe and the twins must find a way to overcome their past. Zach teaches them faith, love, and how to become a family.
I love this book. It is Christian romance at its finest. There is a deep message in A Texas Legacy Christmas-- one that we can all benefit from, forgiveness.
Zack Kahler, a newspaper man at the NY Times and new owner of the Kahlerville newspaper, plans to move back home to Texas to run his new business. Before returning home, he is the victim of a couple of six-year-old pickpockets. The twins steal more than his wallet. They steal his heart. Chloe Weaver, thin and trembling from hunger, finds work in a boardinghouse keeping the books and helping the cook. Things are getting better as she settles into her job and her room at the boardinghouse. But God¿s not through blessing her. When she sees Zack and the twins, she remembers how Zack treated her years ago when they were both Miss Scott¿s students. He remembers her too. He likes how the little girl has grown up in all her beauty and likes how she responds to the twins. Chloe wonders if Zack loves her. Maybe she should accept her boss as her beau. At least her boss has been clear about his interest. Zack must keep his distance from her or she¿ll lose her job. But how can he keep his distance when her boss is competing for her attention? DiAnn Mills ends the Texas Legacy Series with a Christmas miracle. I enjoyed seeing the whole family back together. The twins¿ wide-eyed wonder of their new surroundings was an appealing view of the city kids¿ visit to a ranch. Delightful!
