About the Author
Susan Kedzie is an ecologist, artist and teacher. She spent much of her childhood in Wisconsin exploring nature and drawing from the natural world. After working twenty years as an ecologist, she has returned to art for a career and expressive outlet. She has focused on art since 2012 teaching art-nature camps, painting and drawing by commission, conducting workshops and private lessons, as well as, illustrating her first children’s book. Ms. Kedzie’s book entitled A Thousand Purring Cats, combines her passions for art, science, and kindness in one book. She currently lives with her partner and daughter in northern Minnesota with a menagerie of goats, ducks, chickens, and only four cats.
