This tribute to No Doubt features a gang of studio musicians and up-and-comers covering 11 of the California band's best-known songs. Some try much too hard to match Gwen Stefani's vocal style (Denise Sahara's "Just a Girl") and fail; others do a fine job (Brooke Sails' "Hella Good"), but suffer without No Doubt's major-league production values. Best might be SoCal Chill Ensemble's "Underneath It All." Instead of the original's laid-back reggae groove, the group turns in a wavering lounge version of the song that somehow stumbles into Neil Diamond's "Cracklin' Rosie."
