I went to a garage sale and I was going through a box of books. This book stood out the most to me so I grabbed it, as well as a couple other good books. I started reading and I just couldn't put it down. As soon as I was done reading I HAD to find out more. If anyone is interested in a horrifying, real life story, such as this, I highly reccomend it. It leavs you wanting to know more.

if you ever get tired of watching Springer and eating cheese dip, maybe you should check out this book.it is a five star extravaganza of the most hilarious pulp writing i've sampled in years. certain passages left me breathless with fear...not over the ghastly crimes committed, but that this manuscript ever got published in the first place.i mean,it is inspiring that Donald I. Fine gave van Hoffmann a break, considering that his only credentials were that he had been in the Special Forces units in Vietnam and Cambodia and was a cop,so take heart.but anyway, the lengths van Hoffmann goes to are unbelievable.if 'the weakest link' weren't about to come on,i'd love to share some of my personal favorites from this work of literary genius but perhaps i've enticed you to find them for yourself.to be fair,he's published, alright?that,in itself,is worth five stars.

This book is so tense. It is a book that will keep you hook from the begining til end. Even though Gerald Gallego is to recieve the death penalty, i still feel heart broken for him knowing that Charlene had the nerve to turn on him, while he kept in silence, her part of the brutal murders.

Eric van Hoffmann has written a riveting, page turning account of a man so demented that you'll find yourself looking at the side binding for the words 'nonfiction'. But this is true and it did happen. From the background of Gerald Gallego to the thorough description of the police investigations and the unbelievable involvement of his wife, you will be shaking your head in total and utter disbelief. Well written and researched, Eric van Hoffmann has crafted a superb true crime book.
