Walk on the Dead Side (Secret Seal Isle Mysteries, Book 3) by Lucy Quinn

All Cookie James wanted was a romantic island picnic with her sexy handyman, Dylan Creed. What she got was a lobster trap full of drugs. As an ex-FBI agent, Cookie's determined to hand the evidence off to local authorities and stay out of the fray. But when a package arrives with a gory warning, she has no choice but to call in her former partner, Hunter O'Neil and investigate the case.
Hunter's arrival brings more than crime fighting expertise. He'd like his connection to Cookie to finally be more than professional. There's no denying the sparks between them. Except with Dylan in the picture, Cookie's realizing someone else might be lighting her fire. Unfortunately, her love life is going to have to wait. Between kidnappings, attempted murder, and stolen kisses, Cookie James has a case to solve.

I enjoyed this story! What do I say about this book? I LOVED IT! Unique story, it has mystery and suspense and though it was obvious to figure out. It didn't take away from the book at all. I ENJOYED the whole story. Wow this is a quick read but Lucy Quinn sure knows how to pack a massive punch in her story.I enjoyed this book , the events involving Cookie James are perfectly balanced and the events with her mother Rain are so humorous when it occurred among the pages is brilliant. The plot will captivate the readers attention right away and once you start reading there is no stopping till you reached the end. I enjoyed the tone and flow of the story, and I enjoyed the characters and there isn't any graphic descriptions of violence or sex nor vulgar language. The reason that I didn't rate this a 5-star is because, while this story has a conclusive ending, it's actually a continuing story without a cliffhanger. Which means you may never discover how things play out on the path to the happily-ever-after, but you will enjoy the story, I'd recommend this book to any reader who enjoy a great book with AWESOME Characters. I voluntarily reviewed this book, because I love sharing my thoughts with my fellow readers.

Cookie, Rain, Dylan and Hunter return in a big way! A crate of drugs are found off Lookout Point. Cookie finds the stash and gets the case! Good thing she calls in Hunter, cause there's much more to come! Laugh out loud, nail biting, cozy mystery! And the romance is complicated! Enjoyed this third Lucy Quinn read. 3 1/2 stars. Voluntarily read ARC for honest review.

We are back at secret seal harbor. With her crazy mom, Rain and Dylan a hoter the hot fix it man. Cookie has her hands full. There are just a few problems. She is an ex FBI agent in hiding not a Inn keeper and trouble seems to follow her. This time in the form of drugs in a lobster trap when she is one a date with Dylan. Now she was to call in her ex partner Hunter in the FBI to come handle it and that brings up yet another problem, her feelings for Hunter. yea it's a crazy mess but wow what an adventure. I never know what's going to happen next! Great mystery, fun action, killer storyline and fantastic characters makes this one story you shouldn't miss! Voluntarily reviewed a copy and I honestly loved it.

A thrilling mystery with an engaging plot that piques your interest, emotional moments stir you, gripping suspense, spine-chilling action and horrific danger leave you wanting to find out what happens next, torrid kisses and a tangled web of romance leave you wanting more. Cookie James ex-FBI agent moved to Secret Seal Isle to escape danger, but since she has moved heinous crimes continually show up on her doorstep. These crimes wreak havoc on her dates with sexy handyman Dylan. This day another dreamy date is squashed when the two find drugs washed up on the beach where they started a picnic date. When Hunter her ex-FBI partner comes to help with the case Cookie's romantic feelings sway between him and Dylan. Cookies love for solving crimes leaves romance taking a back seat. A fantastic well-written story that has you turning pages until the conclusion. The cast of characters come alive with clever dialogue and enthralling vivid scene descriptions. I adored the characters and the humor. The start of a romance keeps you wondering who Cookie will give her heart to. This is a fabulous book for your library. I enjoyed this story so much {I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy}. Without reservations, I recommend this book.

A Walk on the Dead Side by Lucy Quinn is the third entry in her Secret Seal Isle Mysteries. Cookie left her job as an FBI agent on the run from some mobsters she ran into as an agent. She relocated herself and her mother to Secret Seal Isle for safety, changing their names. But since she arrived, the crime rate has sky-rocketed, and Cookie cant's seem to keep her nose out of it. Then there are the two hot men in her life... Ms. Quinn writes a killer mystery, with well-fleshed characters, and a little island that is like a character itself. I absolutely recommend this 5-star read.

Any book that has me laughing out loud on page one has got to be a winner! I'll just let you read to find out what had me laughing. Cookie/Charlie is one lucky lady—or is she? Two hot guys. Both interested in her. All she had to do is choose one. Not so easy. At the end of the last book, she thought it would be Dylan, her handyman. They just couldn't seem to make it through date number one. Another case presented. Drugs. When it escalated she had to call in her ex-partner from the FBI, Hunter. Man number two. While she is out trying to solve the case and ignore the feelings Hunter is generating in her, Dylan could be cooling off. The steam is more of the tension kind, there is a good love triangle working. You get characters you want to win but you can't choose between the guys either. Poor Cookie. Danger, twists, unexpected culprits, and an ending you won't guess. Another good offer from the team of Lucy Quinn. I recommend it. This is my honest review of this advance reader copy and I have not been compensated in any way.
