The whole town is ready for the holidays: The Cookie Club is baking, Main Street glitters with lights, the carolers sing . . .There’s even a Christmas wedding.

When bodyguard Ryder Southerland sees his best friend’s sister Katie at an L.A. Christmas party, he mistakes the slinky blonde for a celebrity stalker and tackles her. Then they tackle each other . . . at his place. The next morning, Katie’s gone, and Ryder tells himself it’s for the best. It isn’t. Now, one Christmas later, Ryder’s falling for the woman he’s been missing in the town he hasn’t missed at all . . .

Katie Cheek’s outgrown the romantic fantasies she had about Ryder when she was fifteen. Katie’s packed their hot night away in a box labeled “fling”—or tried to. But Twilight’s bad boy is the best man in her brother’s wedding. And up-close and personal, Ryder’s impossible to ignore. So Katie can either go into hiding—or surrender to Christmas magic.

4.5 Star review of A Wedding For Christmas (Twilight, Texas #7) by Lori Wilde My favourite holiday of the year is Christmas; and I love stories about Christmas, throw in a small town and a love that is meant to be and you have A Wedding for Christmas. Lori Wilde is a new author to me, that’s right I haven’t read the other books in this series, although having said that although I think it would be good to have done so, I was able to read and follow this book without difficulty or confusion. Katie Cheek has been infatuated with Ryder Southerland since she was a young girl; he is her brother’s best friend. After mistakenly being taken for a stalker at an LA Christmas party by Ryder (he is working as a body guard), Katie spends a wild and passionate night with him, only to up and leave the next morning. Fast forward 12 months and its Christmas in their home town, and Ryder is back to be the best man at her brother’s wedding. The attraction between Ryder and Katie is sizzling although Katie is doing her best to resist him; Ryder is determined to get the girl. Will the magic of Christmas and the romance of attending a Christmas wedding rub off on Ryder and Katie? Will they take a chance and move forward in their relationship? I really liked the characters of Ryder and Katie, separately and together. The story was well written and captured my attention and although not a particularly long read, I enjoyed this story so much that I am going to go and get the other books in the series and find out more about the wonderful people of Twilight, Texas.

I loved this Christmas story from Lori Wilde. My husband started reading it before me and said that book sounds great! So, I stole my book back and read it in about 36 hours. From the time Katie gets tackled (Ryder thought she was a celebrity stalker) to the very last page this story had me all wrapped up in the pages. Their chemistry is off the charts and the banter is amazing. If you're looking for a romance so steamy it could singe your pages I highly recommend A Wedding for Christmas!

A Wedding for Christmas is book 7 in the Twilight, Texas series. I know I'm a bit late on reviewing this but it turned out to be a really good read that can be read any time of year, not just Christmas. It has one of my favorite tropes in romance, the hunky guy falling for his best friend's sister. We start off meeting Katie who swapped houses with a friend for Christmas so she can hang out in LA and escape reality. Her fiancee passed away not too long ago so she really needs it. What she doesn't expect while out at a bar is getting tackled by a bodyguard who thinks she's his employer's stalker. We find out quickly that Ryder Southerland, the bodyguard in question is really her brother's best friend and her childhood crush. Sparks fly and one thing leads to another and they decide to have a one time fling. Katie heads back to her hometown Twilight, Texas and after a year of not seeing Ryder she has to face the music. You see, her brother is getting married and both Katie and Ryder are part of the wedding. What could go wrong? I wound up falling in love with A Wedding for Christmas. I already know I'll be buying all the books in the series since I skipped ahead to book 7. I loved the small town feel and the characters really shined. Katie's character in particular I enjoyed from start to finish and the author really conveyed how conflicted Ryder was on wanting a relationship but living so far away. Overall the writing was superb and I'll need more of this series asap. If you're a fan of Contemporary Romance with a small town setting, I suggest you try this series.

I really enjoyed this book a lot. I don't read too many holiday themed books but I do try to read at least one or two every year in a quest to get myself in the holiday spirit. I really liked the last book from this series, I'll Be Home for Christmas, so I was eager to pick up the newest one in the series. This book is actually the seventh in the Twilight, Texas series but it reads perfectly fine as a stand alone. This was the kind of book that left me with a smile on my face by the time I reached the conclusion. The book starts one year in the past when both Katie and Ryder were in L.A. and run into each other. They have known each other for years but they now both adults and sparks immediately fly. Fast forward one year and they both find themselves back in Twilight for Katie's brother's wedding. The sparks are still there but neither of them are sure how to act on them or if they should. I loved the characters. Ryder and Katie both had a few issues to deal with from their past. Ryder is best friends with Katie's brother and actually lived with the family during some of his teen years. After a 15 year old Katie kisses Ryder, he joins the military and leaves the town. They have both reached a point in their lives where they might be ready for something more. I really enjoyed watching them learn to trust each other and start to open up. They made a really great pair and the chemistry between them was off the charts. This book really had a lot going for it. I liked that there were a few things that happened that I didn't expect. The secondary characters in the book were a lot of fun and everyone from Ryder's elderly neighbor to Katie's parents added soemthing to the story. There were a few moments that I thought were quite humorous as well. In the end, I thought this was a well rounded book with wonderful pacing. I would highly recommend this book to fans of contemporary romance. I haven't read too many books written by Lori Wilde but the ones that I have read have been consistently good. I am looking forward to reading more from this talented author soon. I received a review copy of this book from Harper Collins Publishers - Avon via Edelweiss.
