Kiersten Fay writes spectacular cliff hanger books that create fabulous series.  Her Demon series books were out of this world and Creatures of Darkness has launched the start of another spectacular series.  If you can't handle the suspense of a cliff hanger, or don't want to get sucked into a fabulous series of books, then this is not the book for you.  But if you enjoy suspense, action, romance, magik and self discovery this book will not disappoint.

Wow... I don't even know where to start. This book was great. It kept me on the edge of my seat with where it was going the entire time. I absolutely love Mace and Cora. Knox.... I don't know how I feel about him. I'm going to start at the one thing that I didn't like, however this did not drop the rating of my review because I know there will be another book. The cliff hanger. :) Dang was it hot! Hot, yes it was hot, hmmmm. How to put that in better terms? Yep there are no better terms then HOT! Ok, enough of the babble lets get down to business. Cora is an amazing leading lady. Her past is intense and very sad, but she is such a strong character and you can't help but feel sorry for her and love her at the same time. She came from nothing and became something. Mace oh sexy Mace. I wasn't sure what to think of him when I started this book, however over the pages of reading I started to fall more and more in love with him. He knows where his feelings stand, but he has to be careful, especially with Cora, the poor ol' Cora, she needs a lot of tending to and Mace has to be very gentle or she may break. Some of the things that he said throughout the book, I couldn't help but laugh out loud, I even blushed (which that isn't something hard to do). Then you have Knox.... I have such mixed feelings towards him. From the time he comes in until the very end, I feel as if he is really up to no good. He is cocky and has a constant attitude and I just can't put my finger on what I really don't like about him yet. Maybe in the next book my feelings for him will become clear and I will be able to give you an honest portrayal of Knox. You then have a few small characters and they were all amazing. All in all I give this book 5 stars: 1. The characters - Ms. Fay created some amazing and very well thought characters. 2. The story line - is beautiful, again as the characters, very well thought out.

I would like to thank Kiersten Fay for a free copy of her book in exchange for an honest review. Teaser: His kiss binds her in passion. Her kiss spurs an obsession. Coraline mistrusts the many vampire clans that have been at war with humans for the last century, but when her husband is murdered right in front of her, she is thrust into the dark and dangerous world of the supernatural. And now she has a target on her back. Against her better judgement, she must rely on a mysterious vampire named Mason to keep her safe as those who hunt her grow near. Little does she know, her desire for Mason will threaten to consume them both. This book begins a bit slowly, but rapidly turns up the heat. Cora is an interesting mix of innocent and streetwise. She's clearly overcome many challenges in her young life, but it appears her biggest challenges are still to come. I enjoyed the tension between Mason & Knox, but would have ultimately preferred more of an explanation about the reason those two continue to clash. Added to that is a desire for more of Mason's backstory. The storyline moves along at a good clip, and the ending certain left me wanting to read the next book in this series. All told that makes the book a success in my mind!

What a fast, great read. Cora, married seven months goes to the hotel to surprise her husband in a very sexy outfit under her coat. Outside the room she hears a female voice along with her husband. All of a sudden the door across opens and she is grabbed and pulled inside. As she is watching the monitor, three people open fire and kill her husband and the woman. They suspect her husband of selling vampire blood and think she knows about it. She is taken to the police station and Mason, a vampire from the VEA has the job of getting her to a safe house since an attempt has been made on her life. As they travel there are more attempts on her life and Mason suspects a mole. Mason is very attractive and sexy. Cora has been abused by vampires in the past and she has been on her own since she was ten and does not trust anyone. Mason has had to give her his blood due to the injuries she received while on the run. There is a bond forming between them. They wind up at a place owned by his clan. Knox is there and he has plans for Cora. Her blood showed that she has vampire cells meaning she was given vampire blood before her husband was killed and she is also a witch from an old lineage. I will let you read the book to see what Knox's plans are and what happens between Mason and Cora.

I wasn't sure about this one at first because it was just another goofy vampire book. But the more I read the more I enjoyed the plot. Yes plot in a hot and sexy magic monster novel. It isn't just about moments that make you blush when you read it.

Coraline (Cora) Gordon went from street urchin to arm candy for Winston Gordon. Cora believes that there is something missing from her relationship with Winston and sets out to improve it. Cora's plan is set in motion only to be stalled by betrayal she never saw coming. Mason (Mace) Vampire Enforcement Agency (VEA) is stunned to see Cora presenting herself in any man's version of wet dream come to life. On the heels of this revelation, gunfire erupts killing their prime suspect and informant. Mace truly believes that Cora doesn't know anything about VEA's operation and investigation. Cora is wary and prone to suspicion easily. Mace tries to gain her trust with limited success. What will become of VEA's investigation? Will Cora trust Mace? Can Mace hide his feelings for Cora? Your answers await you in A Wicked Hunger. Interesting twist in the vampire genre. Supernaturals don't like each other very much and have an uneasy truce between them. Mace is an Alpha Male and thensome. Cora is sweet and unsuspecting personality. I really enjoyed how their relationship grew gradually instead of wham bam thank you ma'am. I'll definitely read more of this author's work in the future.

This book is absolutely amazing. I love all the characters. I love Mason and Cora's chemistry. I also like Knox even though he is definitely up to something, can't wait to read more in this series to find out what happens. There are ghosts, vampires and witches and it keeps you wondering what's going to happen up to the end. Even the ending keeps you in suspense for the next book. Definitely worth buying and reading.
