About the Author

Rossella Riccobono is Lecturer in Italian at the University of St Andrews. Her research interests include twentieth-century poetry and narrative, and contemporary Italian cinema. She has published several essays on Eugenio Montale and Cesare Pavese, and also has publications on Pier Vittorio Tondelli and film director Mario Martone. Dr Riccobono was also the co-editor of 'Onde di questo mare.' Reconsidering Pavese (2003), and co-edited Vested Voices: Literary Trasvestism in Italian Literature (2006) with Ermina Passannanti, and Vested Voices II: Creating with Transvestism: From Bertolucci to Boccaccio (2007) with Federica G. Pedriali. She recently edited a collection of essays, entitled The Poetics of the Margins: Mapping Europe from the Interstices. She currently directs the St Andrews Poetry Forum at the University of St Andrews, and Mosaici (www.mosaici.org.uk), the online electronic journal and resource centre for Italian poetry.
