DISCUSSION IS FOR ALL SEASONS, ANYWHERE AND ALL THE TIME Imagine a modern day Romeo and Juliet, two warring families, they have been fighting and hating each other for decades, and their children don’t even understand what it is all about, but now as adults, they are caught in this feud. The story is the feud between the Allesandros and the Pascoes families. They live in a small town, and it is no secret to townfolks that these two families do not get along, do not interact, and there is no resolution in sight. What happens when star-crossed lovers Alicia Allesandro and Ian Pascoes get together? They must remain in secret, hiding out, avoiding phone calls, while collaborate on the Chamber of Commerce and City Council boards, in front of the town, and act nonchalant. Even when they get together, their situation is full of angst, hot and cold, happy and mad, and it is an on again off again situation. How can these two adult children who have strong feelings for each other keep the peace with their families? “I need you, and you need me. We’re a pair, and we have to stick together.” “They were stuck in no man’s land unable to move forward, but at least he’d prevented her from moving back.” The story is two adult business people, sneaking around like teenagers to have a tryst. The majority of their get-togethers are at the lake in the back of his SUV. He tells her he wants to spank her 100 different ways. I understand family loyalty, but what about being true to thine own self? “Everything in life can be good or bad for you, even kill you….it all depends on the dose.” Overall, I think the story would have been so much better had the two main characters acted and behaved like responsible adults they were supposed to be. Each was running a business, her the family factory and him in real estate. For me was just average, and seemed repetitive from chapter to chapter with their secret rendezvous and spankings. There was a lackadaisical attitude of committing to each other; and as soon as something didn’t go her way, then she would get her panties in a wad and run away was so immature.

I found this story difficult to rate. While I gave it 4 stars I wish there was a 3.5 stars. This story focused on Ian and Alicia as they had an affair. Both characters are lying to their families as they have been feuding for years. Most of the story is just spankings and sex in the backseat of an SUV. I found that there was not a lot to the story until the end of the book. I saw Alicia as spoiled and immature while Ian seemed unsure of the man he was. He appeared weak at times and at other times more forceful and sure of himself. I was disappointed that the cause of the family feud was not explained in more details, especially since that was the main reason that Ian and Alicia could not have a relationship in public and resorted to a hidden affair. Overall, the story was ok but when I read a book I like to have more storyline, character emotions, and a smooth flow to the story. However, if you enjoy mostly spankings and hurried sex then this is the book for you. Note: I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.
