Saw this, heard about the author, read a brief excerpt, and so was curious. Glad I picked it up. Ragan is an extremely talented writer, taking you on her own personal journey, while crafting what is essentially a field guide for healthy, conscious living. When first reading this book, I felt I was transported to a retreat in Esalen or some ashram, spending time with a highly advanced teacher. As with the best of the spiritual writers (e,g, Deepak Chopra, Thich Nhat Hanh, Eckhart Tolle), Ragan weaves personal history and insights into a book about how to live, with very practical day to day advice. The book is filled with recipes, exercises, meditations, as well as beautiful illustrations. It's one that I know I'll be using as a reference. Just picking it up and randomly reading a section, makes me smile and I feel I'm spending time a very enlightened and loving friend.
