About the Author

Amethyst Treleven lives in Adelaide, South Australia although she was born in the UK. She can trace her heritage and family back to the 11th century in Cornwall, England and she is proud of the Celtic blood that flows through her veins.

She is the founder and leader of a Witchcraft tradition called Inclusive Wicca which has followers and practitioners around the globe and she leads the tradition’s inaugural coven “Oak and Mistletoe“. She’s a psychic reader and a spell and ritual designer, a published author, qualified natural medicine therapist and a registered marriage celebrant. Phew! Amethyst combines her love of the gentle art of Witchcraft with her passion for supporting people through her professional consultations.

Amethyst has a PhD gained from Curtin University of Technology in Western Australia in which she researched how Witches, Wiccans and Pagans learn. From her ground breaking research she developed a theory of learning that shows how instinct and intuition play a strong part in how someone learns esoteric skills. This theory is now being taught in universities around the world.

Her family includes her wonderful partner, four gorgeous, grown up, human children and three gloriously beautiful grandchildren and four always youthful fur children. Amethyst loves nothing more than curling up on the sofa with some chocolate, a good book and her beloved fur kids for company. While chocolate isn’t legal currency yet in Australia, she has been known to take bribes of chocolate in lieu of payment for her professional services where that choccy is offered in large quantities!

This is a series of essays on religious topics. Some are specific for holiday celebrations or rituals; others are the the author's reflection on topics around her faith. Well written.
