Actually Amazon has the hardcover for $11.97 and the Kindle version for $9.99.  That's not a big difference.  Of course, both suppliers are out of stock for the print edition.  And you need to add shipping to the Amazon cost, so let's not be mean to Barnes & Nobel.

I received a copy of the AARP: New American Diet as a gift and can not put it down! I have tried several diets over the years, but when I stopped, I immediately regained the weight. Dr. Whyte's AARP book offers a way to change my eating lifestyle (diet) by providing recipes and meals that are real-life and easy to prepare. I work and have a busy schedule, but have found the tips and recipes of high value. What a great book for anyone who wants to eat healthy everyday of the year!!

This book has a practical approach to eating healthy. Dr. Whyte explains the reasons behind claims he makes in the book, so there are no silly reasons why you need to eat something and not something else. And the recipes are easy and delicious! I really like that the research and studies were done on many people for 25 years.
