Did not find anything of value in this book.  Most people would have known 90% of what's written before reading this.  Save your money.

An easy read, well-organized, useful information. For all of us who have worked full-time for so many years and are now facing a life without a schedule (or earned income), this book helps readers like us think outside the box about what is possible and how to plan for it. I loved the life stories—like people I know. They made the book’s advice very real.

Highly Recommend. I wish that I had read it prior to retirement.

The format of the book and writing is easy to read while providing important information in lay men's terms. I am certain that it will be referred to often as I contemplate retiring from teaching earlierr than I ever expected.

Chock full of practical solutions without the condescending tone these books sometimes have.  It's also a pleasurable read with interesting profiles, personal stories and easy to use tools. Overall, it inspired me to get off the treadmill and draft up a good roadmap! I may also give this as a stocking stuffer or gift to some key friends and family this upcoming holiday season. We could all use a little inspiration in planning for the future.

As a 40-Something still in the throws of child-rearing, I have avoided "The Rest of My Life" like the plague. I was sandwiched between the notions that this stage of my life would never really arrive, and I was too busy to plan for it anyway. After reading Bart's Roadmap I not only have renewed hope that the rest of my life will indeed arrive, but that planning to live in it won't be nearly as complicated as I imagined.

This book covers so many important things for those of us who are starting to think about the rest of our lives. I know I don't have any idea of what it will be like to "retire" -- I have several more years before I can even think about that. But I know I need to plan now, not wait. And not just about financial things or insurance. But what I want to do with my time and energy. The book is really easy to read and the author gives very specific advice and tips. I particularly liked the Life Stories he includes. There were several I related to. And as a result of this book I'm going to write that special letter to my kids now.
