About the Author

Betty Lou Rogers is a retired elementary teacher, mother, and grandmother, who has always felt a need to help guide young people. She graduated from Bowling Green State University, in Bowling Green, Ohio. She taught in the Sandusky City School system for twenty-seven years. During those years, she followed the philosophy of being active learners. The children always had the learning materials in front of them and had to participate in the lesson, not just sit and listen, and learn. This material could go home with the child, when completed. Needless to say, Mrs. Rogers was known as a prolific user of paper!
