Grief touches every life. Journeying through the pain of loss is never easy and it is not a journey we would choose to take. Yet at different points in our life we are all called to walk this path and we need help along the way. Loretta McCarthy provides practical wisdom, simple suggestions, and intriguing insights for those who are mourning the loss of a loved one. Remembering her own grief process, she honors the reader with short succinct chapters that present invitations, not expectations, of how we move slowly toward reclaiming our life after loss. The power of this book lies in its gentleness--you could share with a friend who is in the throes of grief and trust that its wisdom would provide comfort and solace... or keep it by your bedside for those times when grief returns to touch your life once again.
