About the Author

Kathy (Moorehead) Sherban was raised in the small northern town of Cochrane, Ontario, Canada. She is a wife and the mother of one adult son. Self-educated, she graduated summa cum laude from the "School of Hard Knocks," after which she migrated to Toronto at the age of 17. There, she strove to carve out a niche for herself in the financial industry. Through hard work and determination, she built an impressive career working as a Financial Controller and later a Compliance Consultant that spanned more than 35 years in the heart of Toronto's Stock Market on Bay Street.

As a recent retiree, her days are spent reading books, planning new adventures, and writing poetry. She has a passion for travel and considers herself a global citizen.

After spending more than 15 years enjoying summer through fall at her cottage in the Kawartha Lakes, she recently relocated to Peterborough, Ontario where she resides with her husband.
