The 2nd. book of the Galactic Center Series was really confusing and hard to follow. The jump from the first book to this one left me feeling that something was missing. The science was hard to understand and the references to electrical terms were not very understandable unless you happen to have a degree in electrical engineering. I was hoping for something geared to the average guy who enjoys science fiction. This one can only be enjoyed by a certain group of people who have a knowledge of the science involved. After reading The Martian Race by Mr. Benford I guess I expected a book that could be enjoyed by a wider range of readers.

Great story and continuation of 'In the Ocean of the Night.' Includes an unique writing style during large group discussions. A definite must read.
