This book is straight out of the Mad Men era. The overall message is that men have very fragile egos, and that women must take great care with them. In the 21st Century, Harvey is advocating that women do the cooking (women's work) and don't do any house painting (that's a man's job). And if you have your own money, it's best to downplay it. Wow. While Harvey does hit on some basic truths about the differences between men and women, much of his perspective is very generational. I live in a very progressive city, and most of this advice simply would not fly here. I think this book is best suited for women who are seeking an older man (born in the 1950s or earlier), in a very traditional, Christian community.

I've received this book once as a Nook Sample in addition with the original version of this book and his other book in addition to this one, which I enjoyed all three of them and I watch his talk show almost every weekday. I've previously asked for a couple more books this fall (which are from the Amulet and Rick Riordan series of books) but I had owned them once or twice digitally as mentioned in one or more customer reviews I've made.
