I was pleasantly surprised with this book! I've never read this author before but I will again! I haven't been reading many New Adult Romance novels lately and this book makes me question that decision. This review is going to be a bit short ... I don't want to give away anything in the plot and the more I talk about it, the more likely that is going to be. Renita Pizzitola seems to channel her inner young lady. She writes about boy troubles like she just went through them the other day and they are fresh in her mind. It really brought me back to my teenage years and the crushing second-guessing that girls seem to do when a cute young man is involved. The characters - especially Isla - was refreshingly realistic and wonderfully well written. It's because of the characters and how completely they were fleshed out that I kept coming back to the story and it stayed with me for a while after I read it. The ending though ... was a bit sappy sweet. I didn't think that it fit the rest of the book in the tone that it was but it wasn't so off kilter that it ruined the book. It just didn't feel right to me. And the epilogue ... it was completely surprising to not have the epilogue be from Isla's POV but I absolutely adored the change in pace. I loved it and it kind of redeemed the ending for me. I've already added more of Pizzitola's books to my ridiculously long TBR pile but I'm pretty sure that I'll be getting to them sooner rather than later. Glad I've found another author to follow. * I received this novel in exchange for an honest review *

Addicted to You newest book by Renita Pizzitola and unfortunately it fell short of other books written by the author. Isla and Colby are best friends. Isla has had a crush on Colby for several years, but he has always treated her like sister. They hook up at a party, but soon their relationship becomes confused again. Will Colby and Isla work out their relationship or will their lack of communication keep them apart? I had really high expectations for this book because I absolutely loved her Crush books. This book was more angst than story, and I was very frustrated by both main characters. If you like angst fill new adult romance, this book is for you! I was given a free copy for an honest review.

2.5 stars After seeing the comparison to Christina Lauren and the BFF to more plot line, I was insanely excited for this. I liked Isla. She's happy and positive, friendly and loyal. For the most part, I enjoyed being in her head. I also really liked Taylor and definitely would have liked to see more of her. As for Colby and Landon? I'm not sure what to say about them. They both have such potential, but it didn't seem like we saw any of it. My main complaint was all of the push and pull. Everything is so dramatic. One minute Colby is saying he's crazy about Isla and kissing her crazy. And then in the next paragraph, he's pushing her at Landon. It got old really fast. I kept reading because I was curious, but also I was really hoping to see a spark of something that would captivate me. As much as I enjoyed the idea of this book, ultimately, it wasn't for me. **Huge thanks to Flirt and NetGalley for providing the arc free of charge**

I received book as ARC for an honest review for netgalley. I really disliked this book. I did not even want to finish reading it, however, once I begin I have to finish. I wanted to smack Colby, he needed to either man up, and say that he wanted Isla and loved her or leave or her alone. but no way would a best friend who supposedly he was would treat her that way. Then there is Isla, get some self respect, do not allow someone to treat you that way, yes supposedly you loved him since you were young, but please, once they tell you, after you have slept with them that you should go with someone else, that should open your eyes, he doesn't care enough about you! Come one! The going back and forth, was ridiculous, we as woman deserve more, than to be treated as someone's good time. And if someone claims they are my best friend and knows me, then they no better and we would treat me better and want the best and wouldn't hurt me like that, repeatedly. Yes there was a HEA, but too long in delivery

Addicted to You by Renita Pizzitola is Book 1 of the Port Lucia Series. An ARC was generously provided in exchange for an honest review and I did so voluntarily. *Le sigh* what a sweet, feel-good, best friends turned lovers story that just reels you in. The author did a great job and really made this as realistic as possible with the right touch of drama for the young lovers of the story.

This is the first book I have read by this author and now I can't wait for more from this series and I will be looking at her other books. If you love friends to lovers and second chance romance you will really enjoy this book. Even though this is a spin off from a previous series I still enjoyed it . Isla and Colby are best friends but after a night of drunken passion can things ever be the same. Will they be able to stay friends or will they have to tell each other how they really feel..... This is a beautifully written book and every character has depth, oh and I did I mention it's steaming hot !!! Great read looking forward to reading more from this author

The minute I read the synopsis for Addicted to You, I knew I had to read it. The friends to lovers trope is one of my very favorites and Addicted to You did not disappoint. The story revolves around Isla, Colby, and Colby's older brother, Landon, who have all grown up together in the small town of Port Lucia. Yes, at it's core, it's a love story, but the relationships are not just between our main characters, but also between them and their families. I loved Colby and Landon's bromance. They are not just brothers, but also friends. They support and look out for each other, and truly want the other to be happy (even at the expense of their own happiness). Their personalities could not be more different, easy going Landon and brooding Colby, but their devotion to each other (and Isla) made them all the more loveable. Another relationship I loved in the book was between Isla and her grandmother. She's the grandmother we all wish we had - funny, understanding, supportive, loving, and an amazing cook. Delicious empanadas?!? Yes, please! :) Isla's relationship with her grandmother contrasts greatly with her relationship between her parents and brother, and I was grateful that her grandmother brought some lightheartedness to the book. So why not 5 stars? Well, I found that although Isla and Colby were very likeable characters and I was rooting for them from the start, their drama and misunderstandings were a little too much. I was frustrated by both of their assumptions about the other and wanted to scream at them on more than one occasion to just stop and talk. I also didn't quite buy that all the main characters could be that blind to the obvious truths in front of them. Colby definitely annoyed me more with his hot and cold behavior, but Isla also made things more complicated by trying to play things cool when what she should have done was just be honest. I knew that there would be angst and drama going into this book though based on the synopsis, so I wasn't as bothered by it as some other readers may be. I really enjoyed reading Addicted to You. It's a sweet and swoony story, that's in the same vein as Jenny Han's The Summer I Turned Pretty trilogy. The epilogue was perfect and I'm hoping to see more of these characters in subsequent books. I definitely recommend Addicted to You if you're looking for a fun and romantic read! *Many thanks to Random House Publishing Group - Loveswept Flirt and NetGalley for providing this ARC free of charge*

"There were probably a lot of girls who would give anything to be pinned between the hot bartender and the sun-kissed boat captain. It was like the perfect love triangle." I went into this one really hoping for a cutesy young romance. Instead, I got a whole lot of childish back and forth that quickly got very old. Isla and Colby couldn't stay on the same page long enough to really move the story along more than an inch. The feeling of one step forward, two steps back was inevitable and really dulled my reading experience. What's worse is that it felt like there was a super quick fix, yet the pair continued to over complicate things just for the sake of being difficult. On a positive note, I really enjoyed the way Renita Pizzitola decided to play the description of Addicted to You out. Within the description, the reader has already discovered the reason Landon is holding back - his brother also has a crush on Isla. This allowed me, as the reader, to feel like I was in on a secret that our MC was clueless to! Had Pizzitola taken the route of not giving that tidbit of information, it would've felt like a poorly hidden surprise and cheapened the story. I wish the same call had been made with the decision to majorly hype up the family issues. I spent the first three quarters of the book trying to figure out what the big mystery was behind Isla's family dynamic. As big of a role as it played in the story, I figured it had to intertwine with the main plot. I was extremely disappointed once the truth was revealed. Sure the revelation was big, however it had nothing to do with the main plot and it ultimately only took away from the story instead of adding. *Thank you to Loveswept and Netgalley for providing this ARC in exchange of an honest review.*

This was a nice new adult read and was an easy friends to lovers story. The characters are sweet and likeable, however, If I'm honest, the story stalled a little in the middle and felt repetitive. All the way through, I felt that it needed something to happen to lift the story. I was provided with a copy of this book from the Publisher via NetGalley under no inducement or obligation.

Isla Diaz has been in love with her best friend since she was twelve years old. With her upcoming move looming, Isla decides it is now or never to explore her feelings for him. With her grandmother being the only family left in Port Lucia after her parents divorced and her brother left for college, she feels there isn't much tying her to the small, tourist town. Colby Callahan can't imagine his life without Isla in it. She's always been there. He's loved her since that day as kids at the carnival when he won her a yellow bear. As she gets ready to leave town for school, he decides to pursue his feelings but there is only one obstacle in his way. This is the first book I've read by this author. The book is a sweet best friends to lovers book. The pace was steady with a few surprises. I look forward to reading more by this author in the future. I truly enjoyed reading the transformation Isla and Colby both undergo as they take a chance on their feelings. I hope to see other books featuring the other Callahan brothers.

This is a great NA read and the beginning of what should be a fun series to read. It's a friends to lovers story and it takes a while for these two to come to the realization that they both having more than friends feelings for each other. There is a great group of secondary characters which will make for some interesting stories in the future. Isla Diaz has been crazy about Colby Callahan forever and she's ready to take things to the next level. Sadly he's put her firmly in the friend zone and she doesn't see any way out. Until one stormy night changes everything. After a night of incredible passion Isla is hopeful things will change between them but it appears Colby is determined to get things back to the way they were. Isla simply can't figure out why. Now Colby is pushing her towards his brother. Should she just give up on him or fight for what she is sure would be a great thing? Definitely one for the must read list. I highly recommend it.
