My wife and I just completed Adoption Detective, written by Judith Land, Co Authored by her husband, Martin. The story centers around Judy's search for and ultimate success in finding her birth parents, who after her birth, married and had other children. The reader will find the plot emotionally draining on occasion, engrossing throughout, and agonizing at times. Given the subject one would expect periods of great expectations followed by periods of both ecstasy and gut wrenching rejection, and on this account the book delivers. We decided to read the last two chapters and epilogue out loud, so we could discuss the story in light of our experiences and to sharpen our knowledge that nothing is fait accompli when it comes to affairs of the heart. We are happy we read this book and hope the authors were setting the table for either a sequel or better yet, another story of their own fabrication.
