William Bennett, a history professor, lost everything when he lost his daughter and his wife. He strolls through life unattached to anything or anyone, except his friend Charles. William had all but given up on ever being happy again...on ever laughing again. All his wants and dreams and hope died with his family until the day he was shown a time machine by a scientist, Doctor Smitty, who was working with our government on a secret mission to stop an outlaw time traveler, dubbed the Time Bandit, running through time stealing historical artifacts and altering history. William Bennett, being the only time traveler the government had at their disposal, is offered a deal. Capture the Time Bandit and be granted personal access to the time machine to save his family.

About the Author

I live in Englewood, Florida and own a construction business.I'm 42 and just starting to write. I love it! I write for the love of expressing my thoughts and ideas and for the escapism as I enter my make-believe worlds where anything can happen and nothing is out of reach but the limits of my imagination.

William is recruited by a secret government agency for his "special talent" to fix time. Bumbling his way along, againsr a deadly opponent... will he succeed? This novel is a fine effort and is a cut above the usual "free" B&N book. Happy reading!

Enjoyed the story. Could've used some editing though.

Although the story line and character development was excellent, I found the typos , misspellings and incorrect use of some words very distracting. No offense to the author, who has the ability to spin a really good plot, but needs a good proof reader!

this book even though it is free drove me nuts. every so many pages there was typo's and sentences that made no sense at all when you first read them. The whole idea was a good one but proof reading was not done very well as far as sentence structure. I also could have done without the booze references in many chapters.

Good read

Good story tainted by lack of proofreading and less than professional writing skills. Grammatical errors caused too much interuption in the flow. Many were very jarring.

The author is trying too hard to copy Jack Finney and the author of "Time Travel Adventures of the 1800 Club. There are typos galore and it's written at the third grade level.

I would have given it 5 stars but for all the grammatical errors and some spelling errors.

Well thought out story taking into consideration any change large or small and how it would change history.

Must read!

The construction business has inspectors. Writers have editors. I had to quit trying to read this after a few pages because of all the glaring errors that a good editor would have easily found. Homonyms abound.  It is like trying to read a text message that auto-correct has butchered.
