Adventures Of Sherlock Holmes Ii (Doyle / Timson) based on 0 ratings. 1 reviews.
The last time I had contact with the actual source material of Sherlock Holmes story was probably back in about 10th grade. Thanks to the SYNC YA I was able to digest classic literature in 20 minute increments (my total commute time one way). This is great compilation of Sherlock Holmes stories and the narrator, David Timson, does an excellent job conveying the mysteries and their solutions. My only annoyance was his pronunciation of Irene (eye-RAY-nee). It grated on me each time I heard it as I usually pronounce it (and have heard it pronounced) as eye-reen. With that minor annoyance aside, I did enjoy Conan Doyle's plot weaving and found it easier to follow all the clues listening to them than I have when I've attempted to read a Holmes story in the past. It makes me wonder if some of classic literature might be easier to digest in audiobook format. Something to try out in the next year! I'm giving The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes II by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle a thumbs up and I'll be on the lookout for other compilations of Holmes stories to listen to.
