This story takes a rather worn premise and makes it very fresh. Not so much creepy or spooky as sad. Highly recommended!

Good for a short story, though somewhat predictable. Gets reader guessing some, too, though.

We've all read a version of this tale sometime. However, its not the bones of the story that make it provoking but the flesh around it that creates a memorable event. Bravo.

Enjoyed it, short story for a quick read. Being from the USA, it was at times a bit hard to follow as the European "lingo" was not famaliar, but those momemts were few and far between.

Written well enough to get through, but anyone familiar with ghost legends will be able to figure out the plot right from the beginning of the book when the main characters left a party. The odd thing about this book is it goes into details that are irrelevant to the story (people chatting up others at a party, for example) yet is silent on some basic questions about who-what-when-why. The characters are, I guess, too polite to ask for expanations at the end, but that seemed unsatisfying. The very last few pages were odd, too. Not a bad book but I don't think I would recommend it.
