About the Author

Lakawthra Cox, MA, MAPC, their mother, grew up in Europe, during the Cold War. She's lived in Germany, Belgium, Italy, and visited England during holidays. She is a Licensed Public Counselor, National Certified Counselor, and a Canadian Certified Counsellor. She has studied Intercultural Communication with the University of Oxford.
Authors Ramona and Lathanise are socially responsible citizens with varied experiences. Both have completed training as a Global Ambassador, while learning to address global issues. Lathanise recently graduated from high school and plans to attend college. During high school, she completed two summers of Harvard Summer School and attended the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women as a delegate for Girl Scouts, USA in 2017. Ramona, although still in high school, competed with other girls from across the state to earn one of two spots for a two year contract to train on telescopes with NASA, and assist Girl Scouts with setting up an astronomy club to train other adolescents from across the state. Additionally, she is an Artist and has opened her art and photography business, Ramona Lenay.
