What would you do if you found out the son you loved wasn't yours? Ethan Harrington's world has just been shattered...
Nobody wakes up one morning and decides this is the day they are going to cheat on their spouse, but when the opportunity presents itself - it ultimately becomes a choice, and that choice, whether good or bad, can have irrevocable consequences.
At thirty-four years of age, Ethan Harrington is a brilliant doctor, devoted husband, eager father to be...and borderline alcoholic. He has spent the better part of a year trying to forgive his wife, Jessica, for her infidelity, but her betrayal with a colleague of his has left him hurt beyond words. That hurt slowly begins to heal with the birth of his son, but it isn't long before he finds out the devastating secret that Jessica has been so desperately trying to keep from him.
Ethan's life steadily begins to crumble - and his drinking, fueled by this discovery, slowly engulfs him, leaving him without the ability to control his temper. With his marriage now in pieces and his sanity questionable, Ethan struggles to come to terms with his alcoholism and face a past that he has spent a lifetime trying to forget.
A powerful and gripping novel of infidelity, healing, and forgiveness

About the Author
Adultery, alcoholism, & mental illness are very real, but sometimes overlooked, social issues that I like to write about. Why, you ask? Because drama is raw, drama is pure-and drama evokes emotion like no other. And when you combine it with tall, dark, & handsome-it's positively electrifying. Giving my characters these afflictions is what makes them human, warts and all. Even heroes have a chink or two in their armor. My stories are filled with angst, intimacy, despair, and hope. If you like these things, and don't mind a few racy scenes or a sprinkling of profanity here and there, then my books are for you. I have written four novels to date: "After All Is Said And Done", "The Monster of Silver Creek", "Seasons of Darkness", and the recently released "Tragedy at Silver Creek". Reviewed By~Aubrey Reveiw Copy Provided By~Author I love reading first novel of new authors. I always feel I may be reading something that could possibly be something great and change the way we look at the world. After All is Said and Done is an excellent first novel with all the qualities I enjoy. Strong characters that really know who they are; that interact with their friends in a way that is interesting and keep you guessing. This novel opens up with two couples that are on the verge on making it or breaking up. Gavin cheated on Sarah with Jessica who is married to Ethan. All 4 are Doctors in a busy hospital. Gavin and Jessica together as cardiologists and Sarah and Ethan run a clinic inside the hospital together. Both couples are reeling after the affair between Gavin and Jessica comes out in the open. The story has a lot of strong issues it deals with- betrayal, deceit, alcoholism, parenthood, abuse, etc. The novel reads a little bit like a soap opera or an episode of Grey's Anatomy but not in a bad way. The characters are real and are dealing with real life characters. Ethan is an alcoholic and cannot admit to it. Jessica is pregnant with Gavin's baby and Ethan and Sarah don't know. I couldn't stop reading because I really got to know these characters. I felt sorry for Sarah who was a strong woman who was the victim of circumstance. I was drawn to Ethan because I have many people in my family who are alcoholics and I wanted to see how Buchanan dealt with the issue. Her betrayal was very realistic right down to the ever present denial of the alcoholic even having a problem. He did bug me at times because I wanted to shake him and say "Get over yourself!". I do prefer to have much more romance in my novels than this novel had. It was more of women's fiction than the typical romance novel. It did have a "happy ever after" ending that was sweet and not expected. I enjoyed the fact that the characters showed their emotions and had to learn in their own ways how to deal with the problems they had in life. Even though I do enjoy more romance I did like the way the characters were so much more well developed and had more depth than most novels out today. The only thing that bugged me a bit about this novel is that it seemed very poorly edited. There were a lot spelling and grammar mistakes. At first it wasn't so bad but as more and more appeared it got frustrating. I get mistakes happen and I've seen them in more famous authors but it was getting a bit over the top. It took away from my reading pleasure. It won't stop me from reading the prequel to this novel Seasons of Darkness.
After reading Seasons Of Darkness, I couldn't wait to read more about Dr. Ethan Harrington. After All Is Said And Done is an emotional story full of twists and turns that comes to a wonderfully satisfying ending. If you haven't read Belinda G. Buchanan, you need to. She knows how to weave the tapestry of life, love, and the human condition.
