Sandy Goldsworthy was born and raised in a small Wisconsin town. Her passion for writing began when her high school English teacher inspired her to be more descriptive in her work. Today, Sandy is writing the second book of Emma and Ben’s story. When she’s not writing, Sandy enjoys spending time with her husband, Mike, and two children, Brittany and Kyle, or playing with her English Mastiff, Miles.

Throughout the decades, Ben's highest goal has been to find his lost soul mate. When Ben missed her return to the Afterworld, she was given a new life in the world of the living, one without any memory of him. When Ben finally finds her, he is faced with the challenge of wooing her all over again while simultaneously trying to capture the most diabolical criminal ever. Initially, the short chapters, dual perspectives, and shifting chronology may prove challenging. However, once readers become accustomed to the fast pace, the intertwined stories make this novel impossible to put down. Many threads are woven throughout the book that are carefully drawn together in the end. The few loose ends that remain will most likely be picked up in later sequels. The multidimensional characters and complex writing will help teens share in the frustration, disappointment, excitement, and hope of the relatable protagonists.
