This book is probably one of the best at describing air-to-air combat for the novice. Full of color pictures and diagrams showing the planes and the pilots that flew them, this book is an easy read. I'm reading my copy a little each day over lunch, and it makes for some good entertainment. The book presents an overview of how air combat developed, from WW1 to present, and focuses on particular dogfights as examples of how tactics changed as technology improved. Fans of flight simulators will enjoy some of the strategies described in the book, such as how the British and Australian Spitfire pilots used their aircraft against the more maneuverable Japanese Zeroes in the battle for the Pacific. A good book at a good price.
