A wonderful book for any young horse lover like myself when I was 50 years younger. Still feel my heart race from the except about the blue-black saddlebred. I bought this for my granddaughter for Christmas. What a great gift!

I read this book as a little girl and still have my orignal book. I read it over and and over. Just love it and still do. I gave a copy to my 9 year old granddaughter and she was thrilled and no trouble reading it. The illustrations are beautiful.

This book is a dream come true for me - not only at eight, when I would moon over my teachers copy during every reading hour, but also now (near graduating), to find that it is still in print! This is a wonderful book, full of beautiful paintings, interesting stories, and useful facts and information about horses of all kind. Truly a book to be treasured, for children and horse lovers of all ages.

I am 54 years old and at the tender age of 8, I became so enamored of the equine species I thought I would perish if I couldn't have one or be around one...I eventually had three beautiful horses of my own! Ms Henry took me to fabulous places with wonderful horse characters. I highly recommend not only 'All about Horses'...but any book Ms Henry has written...they are all well done. If you have a 'horse crazy' child...then Ms Henry is the author for them.

this was my bible. I used to check it out of the school libary for weeks at a time. I love Marguerite Henry's books no matter what, and the information along with the pictures made this one my favorite.
