About the Author
Ivan Jancár studied at the Faculty of Arts, Comenius University in Bratislava from 1978 - 1983. In 1986 he was awarded a PhDr. degree there. Since 1983 he has worked at the Bratislava City Gallery as Curator of 20th and 21st Century Prints and Illustrations. In 1998 he became Director of the Bratislava City Gallery. He has selected and presented works at more than one hundred exhibitions in Slovakia and abroad, and has published 20 books and dozens of articles dealing with Slovak and international art.
