I picked this book up years and years ago and from the first was hooked not only on Alice Medrich's ability to simplify and demystify baking as a whole, but to put forth a collection of recipes as tried and true as any you are likely to come across. This is my cookie bible, and it's use has earned me accolades each time I present friends and family, coworkers and neighbors, with the delectable offerings so simply presented and so easy to emulate. You could not find a better resource for baking. Period.
