Editorial Reviews

Taylor Jones
Alien Mine is my type of book. Not only is it a page turner, but there are plenty of hot love scenes. Dry's characters are well developed and her plot is strong. And if you like lots of steamy love scenes, you can't go wrong with Alien Mine.
Regan Murphy
Dry's characters are three-dimensional and her storyline has enough fast-paced action to keep you turning pages from beginning to end. And for those of you who want some hot sex with your action-packed science-fiction, Dry does not disappoint.

Meet the Author

Ever since she can remember Marie Dry wanted to travel. She had had the privilege of living in Zambia, Morocco, and Spain and sees herself as a bit of a gypsy. Every few years she gets restless and has to be some place new.

All her life she has read romances and was fairly young when she decided she would write the perfect story that had all the elements she looked for in a romance. In 1997 she shared a pizza with a friend. She promised her friend to go all out with her writing and get published. With her friends cheering her on ever since, Dry found it a wonderful experience to see the characters in her head coming to life on the page. So being published by Black Opal Books is a dream come true for her.

There are several wonderful moments in her life that she would never trade for anything. One of them is meeting President Nelson Mandela and the second being published.

Reading Alien Mine, it was very easy for me to identify with Natalie. I love Science Fiction and romance and this books captures both beautifully. I could not help but smile at Natalie’s point of view of the impossible situation she is placed in. It’s a page turner from the first page to the last.

The premise of this book is good. The execution of ideas not so much. I had to struggle to get through the first of the book, but the story line was so intriguing I pushed through. I think this is an author worth waiting for--

A bit of a surprise and a little repetitive

I liked how fierce the hero is and while the h is a little scary cat she tries to overcome her fear which is what really counts. The only thing I found sad was how fast the children grow.

"Ooh, make him thot walk.", she giggles quietly.
