About the Author

Amber L. Drake is renowned veterinary specialist with a concentration on dogs. She has worked in the most prestigious positions and has been featured in numerous publications. Her overall mission is to provide knowledge regarding canine care and behavior to all pet parents at an affordable cost. Drake currently serves as an Adjunct Professor of Biology (7 years) at Jamestown Community College and an Adjunct Professor of General Education (1 year) at Kaplan University. She has held positions including but not limited to Zookeeper, Post-Surgical Veterinary Assistant, Canine Rescue Specialist, Veterinary Content Writer and Canine Behaviorist. Amber L. Drake has earned a Doctor of Education (ABD), a Post-Masters Educational Specialist certification, a Master of Arts in Education and a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She is currently enrolled in a Master of Science in Environmental Law and Policy. She has also taken coursework in Veterinary Medicine at Cornell University, Veterinary Technology at Penn Foster College and Biochemistry at UC Berkeley. She continues to enroll in continuing education courses in canine care, canine behavior and veterinary coursework to advance her knowledge in the field. She is available for public speaking opportunities and regularly offers seminars and courses in her field.
