Fleeing his brother¿s wedding before he becomes the next catch of the season, Alasdair ¿Lucifer¿ Cynster goes to the countryside to visit his friend, mentor, and fellow collector Horatio Walham. In Colyton Manor, Lucifer finds someone murdered Horatio. However, Phyllida Tallent accidentally knocks over a halberd, knocking out Lucifer. On her way to get help, she happens to notices a brown hat.

Phyllida¿s dad, the magistrate concludes Lucifer is innocent of murder. Lucifer vows to uncover the killer¿s identity and Phyllida agrees to help him. As they investigate, several attempts to kill Phyllida occur. As Lucifer and Phyllida fall in love, they make love. He knows he made love with her because he will marry her while she knows she made love because she loves him. However, a killer remains free with Phyllida being the prime target because she saw something at Horatio¿s house that identifies the murderer.

New York Times best-selling author Stephanie Laurens has written an exciting historical romantic-mystery that freshens up her popular Cynster series. Lucifer and Phyllida are a wonderful couple who readers will adore and the tidbits that allow the audience to absorb the 1820 English countryside adds value to the tale. However, it is the amateur sleuthing of the lead couple that turns ALL ABOUT LOVE into a winning regency tale.

Like all the other books written by Ms. Laurens, this one is superb. Makes me wish I was living in the period. Excellent style of writing and plot formation. Never a dull moement. You can really get into the characters and either love them or hate them. I haven't come across a book by Ms. Laurens that I would stop reading because it was dull.

As a devotee of Stephanie Laurens, I have read and enjoyed all the Cynster series and the Bastion Club as well. My daughters, Stephanie, Liz and Kate all read her books and we pass them to friends as well. Great reading on the bus or in a car. Can't sleep get a book and DREAM of flashing eyes, broad shoulders, and enigmatic grins. From Devil to Lucifer and Chillingworth they are all a lady could dream of.

This book definetly topped off the series. I was so sorry to see it end because it was a really enjoyable book. The proposal scene had my heart leaping. I thought it was especially sweet and a great way to end a thoroughly enjoyable series. I started missing the Cynsters when I turned to the epilouge. I'm so affected that I immediately started to search for more books by Ms. Laurens and I was extremely pleased to see that Chillingworth's story has been told. I think I'll read all her books now.

A 320 page 1820's English romance book of Lucifer, the last of the Bar Cynster, leaving his brother's wedding to escape fate by visiting a collector friend. Murder, mayhem, drama, and the local law's daughter leads to mystery, drama, romance, amd explicit love sex scenes. Enjoy!

I loved the mystery and dynamic characters. The descriptions were so well written that I wanted to go there. This was a very enjoyable story; of course, all of the books in this series are fun reads.
