I love this bundle! My favorite was Sweet Home Carolina: I truly loved this story. Darcy, a former lawyer, is starting over in Magnolia Bay by opening a B&B in a home that was once a brothel. The historical society refuses to put her B&B on the registry due to its illustrious history. Joining a book club gives her a set of new friends who support her business and are there to help her through thick and thin, especially after her new beau Trent, a former pro golfer, leaves her just when she needs him the most--or so it seems. Lots of chaos, drama, and making up, but we get a HEA in the end! Make yourself a pitcher of sweet tea and prepare for wonderful read!
All-American Heroes is a box set that includes stories from five great authors. "Going All the Way" by Megan Ryder is book one in the "Knights of Passion" series. This is Jason Friar and Stacia Kendall's story. Stacia is working with a political candidate and secrets get out to the press so she loses her job. Jason's reputation has just about killed his chances of having a comeback as a major league baseball player. Stacia and her friend go out for drinks. Stacia has decided that she is tired of doing what is right. So tonight she is going to take risks. This is where Jason comes in. He is in the same bar not happy that there is only one major league baseball team that is interested in him. Stacia doesn't know who he is. She decides he is the one that she is going to take chances with. Stacia ends up having a one night stand with Jason. After losing her political campaign job Stacia is told that she has a job helping a baseball team repair a reputation of one of their players. So, this is where things really begin to get really interesting. Jason and Stacia are opposites and I loved watching their relationship develop. If you love a great story with hot intimate scenes, then you will want to pick this one up.
Who doesn’t love heroes? And a romantic hero at that will make you swoon. I read each of these books when they came out and enjoyed each one. Here are some of the reviews I wrote when I read them. Hometown Hero A cute romance An embarrassing encounter between a small town girl and a big time baseball player brings two unlikely people together. It was fun watching the drama between Skye and Chase unfold and how they worked it to their advantage. Sweet Home Carolina A sweet story about going after your dreams and what it takes to get there. New friendships, new love and a new life are all in store for Darcy Vance. While remodeling Mimosa House, Darcy meets Trent Mauldin, a former professional golfer. Little does Darcy know Trent has other plans for the land next to Darcy's B&B. Will they be able to work through their differences in order to let their love bloom? Or, will everything come crashing down along with Darcy's dreams? The Perfect Score The Perfect Score was a real joy to read. A true romantic comedy. I enjoy the way Beth Albright writes her stories. You'll love the characters from the start and be drawn into the story immediately. There was so many laughable moments in this books. I especially loved the skunk scene. Going All the Way This was an entertaining book with two characters who are total opposites. Stacia is a good girl and Jason is the stereotypical bad boy jock. I thought the author did a good job bringing these two characters together and the rest of the story. Wrecked A great story from the very first page. This was a fast paced story that really hooked me. I liked how the author wrote characters with real life struggles that were easy to relate to. It made them easy to love. Hollis finds herself in an unexpected situation when she returns to her grandmother’s house thinking she can hide from the world and finds ex-boyfriend laid up in bed with an injury from a surfing accident. They form a deal where he keeps her return to town a secret if she helps him during his recovery.
