Reviewed by Patricia Day for Readers' Favorite All For Love by Ann Swann is an engrossing read. An explosion brings Liz and Quinn into the reader’s view right away. It was love at first sight for Liz when she saw Quinn. Handsome, charming, and athletic, he stole her heart forever. They fall in love and so begins what could be an epic tale of love, deception, rejection, and reconciliation. The necessary ingredients for a good romance. Sadly, all good things can come to an end and they experience a falling out, due to a former girlfriend appearing, claiming to be pregnant with Quinn’s baby. Liz’s hopes and dreams are dashed when Quinn decides to do the right thing – not necessarily the best thing for Liz. Time becomes a nightmare for her as her life tumbles out-of-control and she is faced with a major decision that will cause her much regret. How she overcomes the hurts of her life makes for interesting reading. She becomes philosophical as one discovery after another causes her to question her sanity, as well as Quinn’s character. Her perseverance is repaid time and again as she determines her broken heart will recover. But how? is the question. What happens to Quinn and with Quinn made me sad for Liz. She suffers much, but still smiles and forgives. All For Love is a good story, told in flashbacks but with clarity and detail that leave the reader visualizing and sharing Liz’s heartbreaks and triumphs. I enjoyed the book and found it refreshing in that profanity and sordid sexual descriptions were non-existent. A really good read.
By: Ann Swann Published By 5 Prince Publishing Age Recommended: Adult Reviewed By: Arlena Dean Rating: 5 Review: "All For Love" by Ann Swann was a awesome read. When I started reading it I wondered how this author was tie it all together...well she did a wonderful job with presenting to us a good read of "All For Love." This novel was such an emotional roller coaster ride that will keep you caught up in the read to the very end that will leave you wondering as well as relating to so much through the read. This is not a happy read but a real realistic one. Wow! what a story line and the drama was simply off the charts! This female protagonist(Liz Rose) was one that you will be able to relate too.." a woman who is remembering better days as she worries about the future." This author did a wonderful job with such important issues woven into this novel: abortion, infidelity, grief, death, alcoholism and suicide. I like the story being narrated by Liz which made it so easy to connect with her ...with there being so many 'flashbacks' as the reader is taken back and forth from her past to the present to only giving us her true thoughts. This style of writing that this author presents to the reader is simply wonderful smooth flow of writing that will keep you reading to the end. I could not put it down once I started with my read. "All For Love" was a presentation of Liz who was "a flawed heroine that you cannot help but sympathize with, but who will also frustrate you with her stubbornness." Now, to truly understand it all I will say you must pick up "All For Love" to see how this author brings it all out to the reader. It will be a awesome read. The characters were all very well developed, colorful, believable, real and most of all well portrayed... only to give the reader a well written story that will even leave you with some thoughts long after the read. "All For Love" would be recommended to all who are in for a captivated read that will touch your heart and even your soul ...only finding this read hard to put down until the very end. Thank you Ms. Swann for a wonderful read.
Unique – Intriguing – Captivating! When the local plastics plant where Liz's husband Quinn works explodes, Liz's life begins to collapse around her. She begins to look back on her life and her tumultuous relationship with her husband and tries to come to terms with her past and present. ALL FOR LOVE by Ann Swann is not your average romance novel – it is a realistic journey through one woman's relationship with the man of her dreams that isn't always perfect. Through past and present scenes, we see how Liz's and Quinn's story unfolds, their triumphs and their failures, and the secrets that can tear a family apart. Personally, I wouldn't categorize this novel as simply a romance – I would call it Literary Fiction and Family Drama at its best. Ann Swann is an extremely talented writer who grabs you from the first sentence and doesn't let you go until the end. ALL FOR LOVE draws you in immediately and you certainly do not want to put it down. Her writing style is smooth and flawless and her characters are realistic and captivating. You don't just read a novel by Ann Swann – you literally experience it. I would recommend this novel to anyone who enjoys a story with depth and heart.
