The past can be murder on relationships.

Isabel Beachwood just lost her dream job. Now she’s forced to move out of her precious Victorian apartment, and in with her stepsister, bringing back ugly memories of a painful childhood.

Ty Griffin is a financial magnate who deals in multi-million dollar mergers and acquisitions. His bespoke suits can’t hide a body worthy of a professional athlete. Those intense azure eyes telegraph a keen intellect. And his mouth, the only soft thing about him, is sinfully sensual. But his drive to succeed has all but obliterated any chance for a personal life.

Isabel is surprised when, during her moving sale, none other than the white-hot Ty Griffin, CEO of Grandin Financial, buys her prized Carmel-by-the-Sea table. When she finds out he’s part of the reason she lost her job, her apartment, and her adorable table, she’s incensed.
The moment Ty meets the voluptuous and challenging Isabel Beachwood, he’s completely enthralled. He’s the kind of man who’s used to getting what he wants. And he wants Isabel.

While their steamy relationship heats up, an insidious danger seems to be shadowing them. It’s a treacherous threat that could ruin everything.

Soon Ty and Isabel are dealing with an over-protective stepsister, a highly trained German Shepherd, a pain in the butt Welsh Corgi, a jealous gold-digger, an obsessed suitor, a former lover, and Isabel’s quirky tech colleagues. All of which turn out to be the least of their problems.

Because the past won’t die. And it can be murder.

All Tyed Up is a standalone by Julia Harlow and it is the first book I have read by this writer and I have to say that I really enjoyed it. I gave it four stars and let me tell you why. All Tyed Up is a story of Isabel Beachwood and Tyberius Ty Griffin. Isabel is an enigmatic 25-year old app designer and Ty is a ruthless businessman and a CEO of Grandin Financial, the company taking over the company that Isabel is working for and therefore also responsible for Isabel losing her job. It is very unfortunate how they decide based on seniority and not based on the performance and that is something that Ty has actually issues with. I loved how Julia had Isabel and Ty to meet first outside their workplace – as Isabel was losing her job, she had to give up her rental apartment and she had to get rid some of her furniture and Ty came for the table that Isabel so loved. Isabel is described as a plus size but at the same time the way it was expressed it seemed that she was most likely a curvy girl, I can see how her perception of herself was of a plus size woman due to the mental and emotional abuse she suffered in the hands of her stepfather. Something that bothered me and why I am giving 4 stars is the dropping of brand names, for me, it took something away from the story and did not let the story flow as it could have. Otherwise I think Julia has created a fun story that you can easily spend a great evening with AND let’s not forget about all the great minor characters … I wonder if Julia will have a follow up for this story, I would totally be in the line for reading it!

All Tyed Up by Julia Harlow – 4 stars The story of Isabel Beachwood and Ty Griffin is a classic “billionaire buys the company that the damsel works at in a takeover and reconsiders his decision based upon their meeting” story. Isabel and Ty’s relationship is hot from the very beginning and he is the classic alpha male who is not afraid to go after what he wants. There are several others in the story who present as very strong characters and carry the story along at a good pace. The romance is hot, the dogs are sweet and quirky, and the relationships form quickly and deeply. All Tyed up is classified as a romantic suspense, the suspense is an interesting factor in this story because there are some plot lines that just seem unfinished, like Ms. Harlow was trying to redirect the focus and then lost track of who was doing what. There is one random paragraph that pops in told from a completely different character. I would have been interested to make him a stronger voice in the story. All in all, if you are looking for scorching sex, a bit of suspense, drama, and angst this would be a nice, easy read that will fulfill all of your needs. This is the second book I’ve read by Julia Harlow and I would continue to read her future work as it keeps improving and becoming cleaner.

All Tyed Up by Julia Harlow 5 Stars This is my second book by this author and I loved this one as much as I did the first. I love the twists and turns and you never really know what's going to happen from one page to the next. I loved these characters, they felt real and the story flowed perfectly. Isabel has lost her job because a big company has come in and bought it. She's one of the best they have but, seniority puts her on the chopping block. She now has to give up her home which breaks her heart because it's the first place she could call her own and is moving in with a step sister. Her past was painful and her step sister was part of that, yet has now become one of her best friends, a bit overprotective but compared to the relationship they had, she would take it. As she is selling off one of her valuable tables she meets Ty Griffin. Although he is hot as all get out she figures out quickly that he works for the company that is responsible for her losing her job, her apartment and the table she loves so much. Ty is completely taken by Isabel, and when he finds out that she works for the company they just bought he finds a way to make sure she gets her job back, which causes problems when she finds out. As Ty pursues her, she falls for him even with some bumps along the way, and as they grow closer and see a future together her past returns and tragedy strikes, threatening to ruin everything. Can these two find their happily ever after or is it too late?

These characters will take you on a roller coaster ride of various emotions that will keep you wanting more. These characters really do make the story flow and you won't want to miss them. Find out what happens to these characters as they start an adventure of their life, starting with just looking at each other. Isabel Beachwood had a job she loved until she lost it. When she has a moving sale, he walks in to buy her stand. One look and she is hooked. How will she handle things when she finds out that he is part of the reason she lost her dream job and apartment? Tye Griffin is the CEO of a company that deals with multi-million dollar mergers and acquisitions. His suits can't hide his gorgeous body, keen intellect, and the only thing soft about him is his mouth. His desire to succeed has put a stop to all of his personal life. When he walks in to buy a table that his sister suggested, he gets one look at her and he knows he must have her. He is use to getting what he wants and what he wants is her. Will he get what he wants? Isabel and Tye's relationship is one that has not been the easiest for them but they have the love at first sight going for them. What will happen when their relationship starts to heat up? Is there a danger that is lurking that could run everything for them? Just when they think they can't deal with anymore, there is one more that seems to push its head into their life. What will happen when the past just won't die? Will it be the end of them or will fate have something else in store for them? Isabel is a great character despite the insecurities she has. Tye is really kind of sweet other than being gorgeous, he really is a strong character. He just wants her to feel beautiful and have everything she wants. When he tries to save her will he be too late? He keeps thinking up reasons to see her but what will happen when she figures out he is part of the reason for her situation. You will love these characters, they are so great together and complement each other so well. The secondary characters you will either love or hate or both. Some are better then others and some are just so nasty. Find out what happens with these characters, will they find their HEA or will the past put a stop to things before they even get started? This is my second book by Julia Harlow and she didn't let me down with this one either. I enjoy her writing and can't wait to see what she has next for us to read. Julia loves to read all different types of romances. What is not to love with a romance between handsome hero and a winsome heroine? Again, she writes a story that you will have a hard time putting down once you get into the plot. You will be sitting on the edge of your seat at times just waiting to see what these characters will do next. I highly recommend this story as I know you will want to see what happens with you have two people with l

This book is super cute, it is a love story with the heat turned all the way up and the tension the author draws out through the book has you wanting to yell someone do something already. The writing style is flawless and the story flows so smoothly you don’t want to put the book down even while at work. The characters are so developed you feel in tune with them and let’s not forget the puppies! I love that the author included mini insights from the dogs even the spazz. Isabel had it all a nice tech job and nice victorian apartment in San Francisco, but that all came crashing down with the merger and her name was on the chopping block because she was the last one hired. So she had to sell of some of her possessions and move in with her former step sister now friend Ellen. Ty had been the one to answer the add for the antique table, when he showed up Isabel was instantly attracted to him, but fought it. Through a random series of events they kept running into each other and Ty got her her job back without her knowing, and she almost ruined it the day she saw him at lunch with a woman and a baby. Ty has felt that something was missing in his life for a while. After picking up the table from Isabel he cannot get her off his mind. Never once has a woman over taken him so completely and the passion that ignites when they touch he never wants another woman to.

I was very intrigued by the premise of this book. I really enjoyed the different approaches that the author took with things. The novel is full of descriptions allowing readers to picture each and every aspect of the tale. The author does sometimes take this to excess, allowing the plot to be buried underneath what the characters own for a while, before re-emerging. Harlow also heats up the pages with the romance that she develops. It sizzles at times, while also being sweet and caring at others. It was well done and an asset to both the character development and to the forward motion of the plot. I really enjoyed how the main characters were original yet still very real. Not only was it easy to connect with and identify with them, but they also provided the type of story that you really want to get into. Unfortunately the plot itself left me rolling my eyes at times. Not to the extent that it made it unenjoyable, but enough so that I wasn’t completely in love with it. Please note that I received a complimentary copy of this work in exchange for an honest review.

I don't even know where to start with this review. I was so drawn into this book that it was really hard to put down and even though it got the ending I wanted I just wanted the book to continue on. Isabel Beachwood lost her job due to a merger and is having to move out of her beloved house in with her stepsister, Ellen. In the process of moving she sells her table. Ty Griffin shows up to purchase her table. He is immediately intrigued by Isabel and makes meeting her again happen. The 2nd meeting didn't go as planned. Moving in with her sister brings up a lot of past insecurities and heartache for Isabel. While reading what she had gone through I was crying for her. It really touched an accord with me as my step dad was the same way, except I didn't have the added stress of bullying stepsisters. When you go through that growing up it does affect you for the rest of your life. Isabel has a very hard time accepting that she is actually good enough Ty. Her struggles are very real and very well written in this story. I really liked the fact that her sister was very upfront and acknowledged how she treated Ellen and why she thought she did it. I think that was very healing for both Isabel and Ellen. As the story goes along you think things are going to be happily ever after for Ty and Isabel and then someone or something hampers that. It got to be pretty intense at one point I was thinking "Please leave this poor girl alone, hasn't she been through enough. She deserves a happy ending". Julia pulls a reader in that heavily into the book. It's awesome! I can't say enough good things about this book or the way it was written!
