Talk about a hot lead…

Christmas is coming to Pine Mountain—and it has a way of stirring up memories, good and bad. Nick Brennan may manage the Double Shot bar smooth as good whiskey, but his past is a hot mess. When he runs into a burning building to save a little boy, some people start thinking there’s more to his heroism than holiday spirit. And then the local reporter assigned to the story turns out to be gorgeous Ava Mancuso, the girl who got away.

Ava knows what it’s like to have a past. But the changes she’s seen in Nick since she knew him do more than set off her natural curiosity—his warm eyes and gruff charm have her instincts fired up. Still, all the chemistry in the world doesn’t erase history, even when Nick invites her to his little sister’s mistletoe wedding. Does he have a heart under all those secrets? Or is this going to be just another Christmas past?

Nothing is worse than never being able to forgive yourself for something you did that if you knew back than how it would turn out you wouldn’t have done it. Nick is living his life with a haunting past that he moved miles away to out run. He might have run but he still can’t forget or forgive as the nightmares haunt him every time he closes his eyes. Everyone in town sees Nick as a wonderful guy nothing special just a normal guy until he runs into a burning building to save a child. Things just aren’t adding up now they want to write up a story of the new town hero but he is hiding out not wanting anything published. People start thinking he must have something to hide. When his old love walks into the bar he is shocked she left him without a word. He finds out she only wants a story but he still wants her and some answers. He will not give in to her or to have the story written. This is when things get interesting with some hot passion that two old loves can’t walk away from. These two normal people are both hiding a secret and neither is willing to tell. This is a story that broke my heart as to old loves come together one needing a big story to move up in her job. The other wanting everyone to leave him alone to carry on just putting in time trying to forget. When Nick sees Ava his past comes flying back he can’t tell her. What would she think of him if she knew what he had done? Seeing Nick again Ava doesn’t know what to do she is outrunning her past as well. She knows Nick will never forgive her for leaving but she must try to make him understand. He only sees she wants a story, his story to move up in the world. Why his world is falling apart she is moving on he has a hard time dealing with this. When both of their stories come out I just want to cry it is so sad, so painful. Both of them will have to make some tough choices, they will have to learn to deal with the past. As they carrying on they lean on each other and find no matter how bad things are it is always better when you have someone to help carry the pain. Now they have to work through it, help each other face their issues to find out what is the most important thing in their lives before time runs out and the whole world knows what they have done or had done to them. The author put a lot of care in writing this story she puts many twists and turns once they unfold will break your heart. I doubt you can read/listen to this and not have some strong emotions. I adore these characters along with the supporting ones. I didn’t think too much of Ava’s boss that man should have been run out of town. Both Nick and Ava are strong people much strong then they think. Nick must go home to face a lot of people he let down in one way or another. The author gives a compelling story that reaches in to your soul as she grabs your heart and squeezes it. I have not read/listen to this whole series but this story makes me want to pick up each one and let the author take me away with her touching passionate writing. This was an audio I had trouble putting down I need to know what each one was hiding. It is a very touching read with a wonderful outstanding ending that I never saw coming. I hope you will pick this up and give it a read you won’t be disappointed.

Ava is a reporter in Pine Mountain. For the past 5 years she’s been given crap stories all because of a screw up she made with an article. When a fire breaks out at the local grocery story and the hero turns out to be none other than the man whose heart she broke 7 years earlier, Ava knows this is what she needs to break back into her boss’s good graces. This book wasn’t bad. The author told a decent story and did a good detail on the characters. I am just not much into light-hearted stories if I can help it, so it was hard for me to buy into some of the characters actions. However, I’d still recommend it to those that like this genre. **I received an ARC of this story in exchange for an honest review

I'm sad to see this series end because I've enjoyed it so much, but happy that the firefighters we meet in this one are starring in a brand new series. This one took me a bit to get into, but love second chance books. Brennan has a tragic past that he keeps locked up inside, but it eats at him all the time. Ava ran seven years ago now she is crossing paths with Brennan. Old feelings flare right up where they left off, but their is trouble in paradise when Brennan's past comes to light. Can Brennan trust Ava with his past? Ava's a reporter can she let the story of her career go? Or will her heart win out? I liked revisiting characters from previous books in the series. Always a great moment to see how their HEA are going. I really liked the ending it was so perfect for Brennan.

Looks like this might be the final book in the series and I loved it just as much as the other books. I loved Nick Brennan since we first met him. Loved learning more about the characters and the nice path she gave us to the next series. This book has some humor, some heart and love. Touch of sarcasm in Ava and our ever wonderful chef Adrian. Great story that gives a little tug at the heart strings.

Once again Pine Mountain, welcomed me back home. That's how I always feel when reading the books in this series, and while I am sad to see this series end, I also know that Kimberly Kincaid will give us more great books to read in the future. This is the story of Nick Brennan and Ava Mancuso, Nick is the manager of The Double Shot bar, not his chosen profession and Ava is a news reporter with a gruff, sleazy boss. When Joe's Grocery goes up in flames, Brennan doesn't think twice about going in to the burning building to save a little boy. Once word gets out about the small town hero, all the reporters want his story, that includes Ava, who shares a history with Brennan, but has not spoken to him in years. They both have secrets they want to keep buried, but with the chemistry still hot between them, they both want to move forward instead of backwards, but sometimes things are better left buried. Can they find what they once had together, after the truths come out? Check this book out if you love sexy, hunky heroes and sweet but sarcastic heroines. You don't have to read the whole series before reading this book, but after you read this one you will WANT to read the entire series. As I said I will miss Pine Mountain, but I look forward to Kimberly Kincaids new series!!

The past Nick and Ava have together is filled with bittersweet memories. There are the best of times that they had together seven years ago, the love and adoration they had for each other for a glorious three months, but there's also the pain, and betrayal, Nick felt when Ava left without a word, the time Nick spent looking for her, and love that was lost without a good reason. Now they are back in each other's life. And after a rocky start, everything goes so well, they have the connection that they had before, it is as fresh and vital as before. The chemistry is burning hot, the feelings inside are bubbling to get out, and the world is a little bit better place because they are in each others arms again. But trust doesn't come easy, they both have a hard time opening up, communicating about their past, talking about events that changed their lives for good, sharing about the pain and sorrow hidden deep inside. And as a reporter, Ava wants to show what she really feels about Nick, by telling the world his story, as it should be told. Ava's supervisor at the newspaper doesn't look at the world quite the same way as Ava does, and soon the well intended article turns into something else, something that could break the best thing ever happen to Ava and Nick. I didn't understand why Ava couldn't be honest about her actions, about the newspaper article she was writing. She knew it wasn't right, since she had to hide it from Nick, so why not talk to him about it, and the reasons behind it. Nick's secrets coming into light, no matter how or why, changed his life again, and I liked how the firehouse drama was handled. The story is heartwarming, it is sizzling between Nick and Ava, they obviously belong together, and the relationship is believable. Communication seemed to be their downfall, and once again it was highlighted how important open and honest conversations between people are. A great way to end the Pine Mountain series, and move on to the firefighters at Fairview ~ Four Spoons

I am so sorry to see this finale to the beloved characters of Pine Mountain. But what better way to wrap up the series than with Nick Brennan and Ava Mancuso. Ava's brother Pete started my love of Kimberly Kincaid with his appearance in the Sugar Cookie Sweetheart Swap, which gave us a brief introduction to the wonderful location of Pine Mountain. I was so happy to see his reappearance in this book, along with his wonderful wife Lily. Ava and Nick shared a romantic young love one summer seven years ago, until she was forced to flee. Imagine how surprised Ava is one day when her and a friend decide to chase a story, and fire, and discover Nick (now known just as Brennan) as the unlikely hero. I've spent quite a bit of time around real firemen and Ms. Kincaid is spot on with so many of the details. I was very curious as to how these two would find their way back together, and the story did not disappoint. I would highly recommend this book to anyone. I was gifted an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I've been enjoying this series and this book is no exception. However, I just didn't like Ava as much as I had hoped. I liked the Ava who loved and cared for Nick Brennan and not Ava the reporter. She had secrets which she wanted to keep hidden so did Nick but she was just persistent in digging deeper all for a story which just turned me off. Even though of course, the story didn't exactly happen but I just didn't like the way she went about it with that intention. A lot has happened to Nick since he last saw Ava. He is no longer that guy she knew even though the feelings for her still linger. My heart ached for Nick's tormented soul and it was endearing knowing Teagan and Adrian had his back despite how little they knew about him. I liked that Kimberly Kincaid gave them a second chance at their love and went beyond that. It's also about forgiveness, learning to trust, healing and moving on. I enjoyed the development of the main characters even though I got frustrated at quite a few occasions. New secondary characters were introduced in this book and I can't wait to read more about them. Kimberly Kincaid has definitely piqued my interest. As much as I'm excited about the new series, I'm sad that this is the final book. There's no better story than this to wrap this series up. ✦Review: ALL WRAPPED UP: A Pine Mountain Novel by Kimberly Kincaid Publication Date: September 29, 2015 Reviewed by: Reading in Pajamas/ Donna Rated: 5 Stars REVIEW: I always enjoy Pine Mountain and I am excited about the new turn it is taking. I didn’t quite warm up to Ava at first but I learned to trust her right along with Nick and that made it all part of the story… in more ways than one. The book revolved around Brennan’s journey to resolve major issues from his past with the help of Ava and his friends. Ava also has some issues she is struggling with but it all comes down to their basic character and how that trait helps them heal not just themselves but each other. A true heartwarming and sexy romance with the ‘happily ever after’ Ms. Kincaid is known for. *Review copy provided by Kensington in exchange for an honest review.

I cannot tell you how bitter sweet it is to write this review for All Wrapped Up (Pine Mountain #5) by Kimberly Kincaid. I have loved this series since book one, loved each and every character, have counted down the days until Brennan's book was releases, and was crying by the end of it all. As with each of the books in this series they can be read as a stand alone no worries about being lost. This is the final book in the Pine Mountain Series. This is Nick and Ava's book. Nick Brennan is the manager at the Bar and Grill in Pine Mountain. Running away from his past, hiding secrets and trying to make a fresh start for himself. When a fire at the grocery store and a heroic rescue of a little boy push Nicks past to the present, the demons of his past might just catch up with him. This includes the one woman that ran from him 7 years earlier without a word, the woman that he loved, the woman he lost, the woman that he still can't forget, Ava Mancuso. Ava ran from Nick 7 years ago so that he would not find out about her abusive parents and her past. Thinking that she was unworthy of his love, knowing that she loved him with all her heart, she broke her heart in order to save Nick. Ava is now a reporter, trying to make her way and prove her worth. When she unexpectedly finds herself in the middle of the grocery store fire, she is able to get an exclusive with the man that has held her heart for 7 years. Knowing that there is more to Nicks story, Ava will dig to uncover the past. But when Nicks past comes back full circle and the truth is known, it will take everything that Ava has in her to prove to Nick that he is worthy, that his is strong, that his past was not his fault. I loved the story of Nick and Ava. Nick was so supportive when he found out about Ava's parents. Deciding to give it another go, Ava gave Nick strength and support when he needed it most. She would do anything for Nick, including destroy her own career dreams to protect the man she loved. When Nick came to Ava's defense, it was sweet and sexy and so down right beautiful. I am truly sad to see this series come to an end, but knowing that Nick and Ava's story is the beginning of a new series from Kimberly Kincaid has me on the edge of my seat. I would highly recommend this series to anyone that loves a second chance love story, who loves romance set in a small, sleepy mountain town.

In All Wrapped Up by Kimberly Kincaid, two lonely people running from their past reluctantly find heat with each other...but will it last? Nick has a past that haunts him, one he keeps hidden and doesn't talk about to anyone. He is physically and emotionally scarred. Pine Mountain is where he's escaped to, and the last place he expects to run into Ava...a love from his past, one he's never forgotten. Ava has her own past that haunts her present, her own secrets she holds close. Working as a reporter in Pine Mountain, the thing she expects to find out is that Nick is the hero of the story she's trying to write. A reluctant hero. The reappearance of Ava in Nick's life after 7 years opens up old wounds, but at the same time starts to heal some of them... There is something about Ava that draws him in and makes him feel again. Slowly they rekindle a romance that never really died out. Trust is a fragile thing though...and when it's broken can their relationship survive it? Ava and Nick really grew on me through out All Wrapped Up. I liked how Kimberly drew out their stories long enough to keep me intrigued, but not too long to feel frustrated. I felt like the backgrounds of Ava and Nick were given at the right times to further the plot. I wasn't too sure about Ava and what she was doing...I felt like she could have been a lot more open with Nick. I did like how Kimberly dealt with this issue though and how it was written, the meaning behind it. She really made me think about underlying meanings and looking deeper than the surface. Nick is such a tortured hero, I didn't know if he could ever move on. Ava was good for him though, even if it took them both a while to figure this out. As the story progressed I really found myself hoping they could find their happily ever after together, but I did also have my doubts. I liked the growth of these two characters. It was slow and steady all through all Wrapped Up, and I never really knew how things would end. Kimberly introduces some great secondary characters who are on the periphery but add so much depth and feeling to the main plot. All Wrapped Up is part of the Pine Mountain series, a place I enjoyed returning to, but it is a strong stand alone. I found All Wrapped Up to be so much more than a second chance was about healing from the past, trusting, moving on, and looking outside of your own perspective to a hopeful future. I'd recommend All Wrapped Up to any contemporary romance reader.

All Wrapped Up by Kimberly Kincaid is the fifth and final book from her Pine Mountain series, and it can be enjoyed as a standalone. In addition, the entire series is really good, so you may want to check it out. In the small town of Pine Mountain, Pennsylvania, the people are candid, the scenery is beautiful, and former firefighter Nick Brennan does a great job managing the Double Shot, the local bar and eatery. However, despite all of his preventative measures, his heartbreaking past continuously intrudes into his present, both physically and emotionally. To begin with, after seven long unanswered years, the love of Nick's life, Ava Mancuso, returns. Ava is a reporter, on the verge of losing her job if she does not come up with a "big" story. She just happens to be driving through Pine Mountain when the grocery store catches on fire. Nick is at the scene and he rescues a young boy. The fire and his heroism are the talk of the town, and Nick's personal account of the incident is just what Ava needs to save her career. Luckily, Nick and Ava are able to work through their differences, which enables Ava to put together a well-written, factual piece. Unfortunately, the article lacks the sensationalism her editor is seeking. As a result, Ava is now tasked with digging up the dirt from Nick's past, which she has no intention of doing because she is still in love with him. Nick and Ava have great chemistry and Ms. Kincaid evolves their romantic relationship with honesty, some very serious moments and plenty of heat. Their ability to listen and forgive, is what ultimately brings them together. As much as I enjoyed this book, I found it to be slightly predictable. Nick and Ava are wonderful together, and Ms. Kincaid does an exemplary job of developing their characters. Nick's suffering was extremely unsettling and caused me to shed a tear or two. Overall, this is a well-written book with some twists and turns that kept me engaged from beginning to end. I am truly looking forward to Reckless, Ms. Kincaid's first book from her brand new series, Rescue Squad. Complimentary copy provided by the publisher via NetGalley.

In this book, Kimberly Kincaid wraps up her popular Pine Mountain series and launches a new one about first responders. For a fan of the series, that makes All Wrapped Up a little bit bitter sweet. I love Brennan and Ava but I'll miss Tegan and Adrian, Carley and Jackson, Shawn and Bellamy and the rest of my friends from Pine Mountain. This installation of the Pine Mountain saga is about second chances. A pair of young lovers meet again after seven years apart They've both done a lot of living since and they're a little worse for the wear, but when Nick Brennan rushes into a grocery store fire to save a little boy who's trapped inside, reporter Ava Mancuso knows she's found the story that could save her languishing career as a journalist. All she has to do is get the man she walked away from seven years ago without even bothering to say goodbye to tell her what he's been running from. Brennan's willing to admit he still has a thing for the girl he spent the summer with right after college, but he's never told anybody the whole story about what caused him to leave behind his old life and start over as a bar manager in Pine Mountain and he's been hurt too much to be willing to trust her completely. Most of the residents of Pine Mountain we've come to love in the last four books come from a troubled past which has left them scarred and unwilling to trust. Encountering yet another pair of battle-scarred survivors might have felt contrived or manipulative, but Kincaid has lovingly crafted each and every one of her Pine Mountain characters is a full blown individual so completely their own person that their love stories are completely unique. Brennan and Ava are no different. I couldn't wait to find out why Ava walked away, what Nick was hiding, how she'd get her big story without sacrificing the relationship she and Nick were beginning to rebuild and her own integrity. So how does it all work out? That would be cheating, but it is Christmas ... a time for family, and love, and new beginnings. If you're looking for a story that will make you smile, and cry, and end up feeling good about the world, grab an eggnog a snuggly blanket and a copy of All Wrapped Up and spend a few hours in Pine Mountain. You will love it.

Great Series! This is a great series; this is the fifth book in the Pine Mountain series by Kimberly Kincaid. This book can be read as a standalone, but once you read this one you will want to go back and read the other books in the series. Nick Brennan has tried to keep his past behind him for the past couple of years. He is now working as the manager of the Double Shot bar. When he rushes in a burning store to save a child, people start talking and wondering about his past. Ava Mancuso is a local reporter who used to have a relationship with Nick but hasn’t seen him in years. When she is assigned to his story, they realize that the chemistry is still there. If you are looking for a great romance then you need to read this book. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series. A Review copy was provided to me in exchange for a fair and honest review. The free book held no determination on my personal review.

Kimberly Kincaid has concluded her Pine Mountain series with the story of Nick Brennan and Ava Mancuso. Nick and Ava met 7 years ago when they worked together. They quickly fell in love, but their romance ended when Ava left Nick at the end of the summer. Nick became a fireman and Ava became a journalist. 2 1/2 years ago Nick suffered a catastrophic accident that forced him to leave his job. He slowly recovered then, after some time he becomes the manager of a bar in the small town of Pine Mountain. The story opens when Brennan rescues a little boy from a burning grocery store and become the focus of media attention. Ava is lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time a recognizes her ex. She hopes to interview him to help her career at a neighboring small town paper. They reconnect and agree to forget the past. Eventually they start to date and Ava learns about Brennan's tragic accident. Will Nick and Ava overcome their obstacles to find their happy ending? I love Kimberly Kincaid because she paints a complete picture of characters, towns, and interactions. I really enjoyed this conclusion and will miss the characters of Pine Mountain. Kimberly Kincaid knows how to tell a story. All Wrapped Up is the last book in the Pine Mountain series, but can be read as a stand alone. Nick Brennen and Ava Mancuso get a second chance at romance. Ava left Nick seven years ago and broke his heart. They both have awful things in their past that they need to get yhrough in order to have a future together. If you want a well written hot romance, page turning book, then this is a must read. Kimberly Kincaid has became one of my favorite authors. I was given this ARC by publisher via NetGalley, for my honest review.

All Wrapped Up is the fifth book in Kimberly Kincaid’s Pine Mountain series. I have to say this was my favorite book of the series so far. I was immediately drawn into Nick Brennan’s back story. A firefighter injured in the line of duty. Not only is he still suffering the effects from his career ending injury, he’s also dealing with the demons from that night. He lost his best friend but also his brothers from Station Eight. He was trained as a firefighter and those instincts took over when he saved a little boy from a grocery store fire. Ava Mancuso, a journalist with a past, comes upon the fire. Immediately she draws from her experience and starts documenting the fire and Nick’s heroic skills. And then she discovers who the hero is: her long lost love that she hadn’t seen in seven years. I loved All Wrapped Up. Ms. Kincaid weaved a storyline about two broken pasts reconnecting and recapturing a love once lost. I felt Nick’s pain as he not only dealt with the his back injury, but also the pain that he carried around blaming himself for his friend’s death. I also cheered for Ava as she worked towards re-launching her career. It saddened me when Nick accused her of using him, but in the end, I knew that she would turn her back on her career for the love of her life. All Wrapped Up introduces us to Station Eight and to the firehouse that will be at the forefront of Ms. Kincaid’s next series. This was a great set-up for the series. I highly recommend reading All Wrapped Up and all of the books in the Pine Mountain series. I’d like to disclose that I received an advanced copy of All Wrapped Up in exchange for a fair and honest review.

I hate to see this series end!! I have grown to love Pine Mountain and all of the people and places. And this is no exception. I ran the gamut of emotions in this one. The heartbreak of seeing a long lost love, the pain of losing a loved one, and the joy of renewed trust and love. The bond of friendship, tried but renewed. The power of faith in someone is front and center and I couldn't wait to see how this one ended.  Seven years ago Ava left Brennan without a word, leaving him heartbroken and wondering why. Now she shows up and his world is once again turned upside down. With the rescue of a child, his past is thrown upfront and center with Ava writing the story. Can he trust her enough to let her in without letting his past free? Ava wants a story. But she never expected it to be about Nick Brennan, the only man she has ever loved. And the man she left high and dry. Knowing she must get the story or face losing her job and leaving the only family she has, Ava won't take no for an answer. But spending time with Brennan is dangerous to her heart. When she learns his past and is faced with a horrible choice, will she choose love or family?

I was easily wrapped up in the story of Nick and Ava. I always knew there was more in the story of Nick,he has always kept under the radar in Pine Mountain. Ava and Nick have a past history, and Nick has never forgotten her. Ava, needs to write the story of her life, and it is the story of Nick and his past. Can they both move forward in their lives and start again. Very well developed characters, loved that they both had scarred pasts. Both very strong characters. I enjoyed visiting with previous Pine Mountain residents, so sad to say good bye, but looking forward to reading about the Rescue Squad.

NUMBER OF HEARTS: 3 3/4 As with all Ms. Kincaid’s stories we get a sweet second chance at life romance. In All Wrapped Up we finally get to learn more about the secretive Brennan. Are local bartender has a lot of demons in his past and they are all about to come roaring back into his life. First in the form of his old flame Ava, then in the form of reality and what lead him to Pine Mountain to begin with. This was a sweet quick read. Nick “aka” Brennan is the hero that you want to slap silly and then hug the tar out of. He is both heroic and a pain in the buttock all at the same time. But it was so good to read his story and learn more about him. And his lady love Ava. She is such a great match for him. She is strong, determined and always respects the story that is in front of her. While it looks like this may be the end of the Pine Mountain series, never fear there is a new series on the horizon and you will get to meet a few of the guys in this story. I do hope that Ms. Kincaid will revisit Pine Mountain from time to time. I want to know what is happening with the locals. If you have not picked up the Pine Mountain series now is a good time to do so!!! Disclaimer: I received a complimentary copy of this book from Netgalley & Kensington Books in exchange for an honest review. This review is my own opinion and not a paid review.

Nick Brennan has moved away from everything he knows in hopes of trying to escape the loss of his career and best friend. The harsh memories from his past still haunt him from time to time but he has found a way to cope with them and try his best to go on with his life, That is until there is a fire at a local store and his instincts kick in and have him racing into the burning building to find a child trapped inside. After rescuing the child he is berated with reporters wanting to tell his story, and he of course would rather not speak of it at all. But when one particular reporter waltzes through the door he is hesitant about turning her away... Ava walked out of Nicks life seven years ago, and didn't leave him with so much as a kiss good bye. She wasn't quite ready for things to become as serious as they did, so soon between them, so she did what she thought was right for both of them at the time...flee! She is here to see if she can land a career launching story about the hometown hero, and save her job. Question is, is that all she's after... I have to say this was my favorite addition to the series, and was the perfect story to end the series. Hearing that this was the last installment in the Pine Mountain series was a sad moment for me, because I have loved meeting all of these wonderful characters created by Ms. Kincaid. However, learning that she will be branching out from this series to revisit the town of Fairview and introduce us to the firefighters of the Fairview Firehouse definitely makes up for it. I look forward to this upcoming series, and getting a up close view of these new characters. I highly recommend you add the Pine Mountain series to your reading list, each story is well crafted, highly entertaining and filled with some very memorable characters that will leave you with a warm heart and smile on your face!

All Wrapped Up by Kimberly Kincaid is the final book in her Pine Mountain series. For me reading this book was bittersweet. I loved the book but I hated knowing that I wouldn't be going back to Pine Mountain unless I re-read the entire series (which I will whenever I need a Pine Mountain romance fix). Nick Brennan and Ava Mancuso are so well developed characters that I felt like I knew them by the end of the book. I've said in previous reviews that I would love to move to Pine Mountain because I have loved each one of the characters in this series. I think I would feel right at home. Ava is so sweet and determined to be the best reporter that she can be. She doesn't sensationalize her stories but she does make them the best stories that they can be no matter what the subject matter of the story that's been assigned to her. Because of her past she has become a strong and independent woman but has only allowed herself to be open to one other person, her brother. I enjoyed meeting Ava's brother, Pete. He provided a lot of insight into Ava throughout the story. Nick Brennan is strong, silent about his past and in physical pain most of the time. He's carrying a lot of guilt around from his past but won't let anyone, family or friends, help him. He's very, very stubborn and all about responsibility. It takes Ava and Adrian to finally make him realize that there is always more to a story. The plot starts off hot (no pun intended) and moves quickly as Nick and Ava meet again and get this second chance at love. Together they are better than they might be apart. To watch them and this relationship grow into something real and deep was a perfect ending for the Pine Mountain series. It was good to see Adrian, Tegan and Jesse once again. It was a perfect ending as well as an introduction to new characters that will be in the new series that Kimberly is now writing.
